The Kings assigned Bernier to the AHL yesterday. They still have LaBarbera & Ersberg in camp as their two goalies at the moment.

Denied by the Balsillie side http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2008/09/29/...llie_predators/

Boots Del Biaggio's apparent lack of money threw the Preds back into uncertainty.
-
He'd have to be nuts to voluntarily give up $6.75 million just because he's in some place he doesn't want to be, given that he'll never be offered that kind of coin again.
-
He'll clear and be put on re-entry waivers, where I would assume that the L.A. Kings would take him. The Kings still need to add a couple million to get over the cap floor.
-
At $6.75 million? Nope.
-
Dean Lombardi, I'm looking in your direction.
-
If you read the whole thread, the OP goes on to say that he/she wasn't being serious. In all likelyhood, Devereaux either won't make the Leafs or he'll just be the 13th forward.
-
He's a shadow of his former self, and he makes $2.51 million on the cap. He hasn't broken 10 goals in a season since 2002/03. He's a good two-way player, but he's paid way too much to be a guy who barely cracks their 4th line.
-
He's on a one-way contract, but it was signed when he was under-35, so if he's sent to the AHL, he would be off the Ducks cap. He would still get his NHL salary in the AHL.
-
I would think the solution is Marchant in the AHL.
-
They can try, but he has a no-trade clause. They could waive him, I suppose.
-
Geez, even if it isn't authentic, I'd buy it anyways for that price.
-
They got to ditch Ken Klee a year early?
-
Schneider's stay in Atlanta will be short. He'll have a new team at the trade deadline.
-
He's 21....his physical prime is still about 5 years away. Nothing is guaranteed, but he should continue to improve for the next several years.
-
And Pittsburgh doesn't? I wasn't aware that Crosby plays 60 minutes a game.
-
Exactly. People treat Crosby like he's already in his prime, but he's still getting better.
-
Leafs chairman Larry Tanenbaum: "Steve needs to be a general manager some place (else). We don't want a rookie."
-
He is apparently going to wait-and-see until November or December. If the Leafs are in last place, he'll retire, but if they're in the playoff race, he'll likely come back. (So basically, he's going to retire) In the end, it looks like he will only play for the Leafs. He hasn't been able to get past his loyalty and has told his friends that he just can't play for another team. This is all according to Darren Dreger.
-
The Leafs already tried to hire him once and the Wings wouldn't let them talk to him.
-
It's going to be painfully obvious very quickly.
