Speaking of Alfredsson.....

I think Ottawa in general lacks leadership. Nearly every single time in the past eight years or so that this team has faced adversity in high pressure situations, they've folded up and gone out with a whimper. I don't think it should totally be blamed on Alfredsson, but he's the one wearing the "C" so a large bulk of it has to fall at his feet.

I think Mats will play one more year, get 1,000 points as a Leaf and then he'll retire.

According to Montreal radio station CKAC, the Government of Quebec will introduce legislation tomorrow that will ban fighting in all amateur levels of hockey in the province, including the QMJHL. The only hockey not affected by this is the Montreal Canadiens and the Ligue Nord-Americaine de Hockey, Quebec's semi-pro goon league.
