Personally I think its a fair trade because both players have flopped for their teams (excluding Heatley's performance in the 2007 playoffs) in pressure situations and a change of scenery would help both. Also, the Sharks cleared up cap room by trading Ehrhoff and Lukowich to the Canucks. What do people think?

I just believe that in this deep of a series on a website called letsgowings.com, we should have the decency to hold back our curiousity regarding other NHL topics and concentrate on the task at hand tonight. I know that the Penguins are a hot commodity and of general interest to all NHL fans (mainly because most people love Crosby and his cheese stash), but today (and yesterday for that matter) true Wings fans should be concentrating on nothing more than our game 7 tonight in Detroit. I know I have no authority on this website, but in my opinion these types of discussions should be suppressed until the conclusion of game 7 tonight (which im hoping the Red Wings will dominate).

Background on the computer is the red wings championship banners. Usually cant wear anything red wings once the game starts because of my weird superstitions but tonight im making an exception and wearing my Datysuk t-shirt (hopefully that will help him out), my yzerman jersey (which is actually signed by Nicky for some reason) and my 2008 Stanley cup champs hat. Usually listen to Hey Hey Hockeytown at least once on every playoff game day, and my facebook picture is always a red wing oriented photo during the playoffs. I know its a lot but it works.

So I was studying for exams last night and had one of the live streams going on my computer so I could watch the game. Pavel has been my favorite player for the past 8 years and I heard he made an unbelievable play behind the net, flipping the puck over the net and almost scoring. Does anyone have a video of this? I didnt see it live last night and I really want to see what happened. Hopefully someone can help me out and lets get pumped for Tuesday night.

I do not understand why Mike Babcock has not changed the lines. Lets Examine: Line 1 in this series: Datsyuk= 1 assist Holmstrom= 0 points Hossa= 0 points Does he realize that when Zetterberg and Datsyuk are together it just works? If he doesnt change the lines soon, we can expect the ducks to continue to dominate in these close games. oh one other thing, that call was complete bulls***. Hossa should of had his first goal.

So I was reading that MLive is saying that only up to 4 of the Wings games will be on national television? I do not understand what is up with this. Not only are the Red Wings the defending stanley cup champions, but they are also the most popular hockey team in the United States. On top of that, it is not even the first round anymore, meaning that the NHL should be able to schedule the Red Wings into all seven of the national television slots. Is this rumor true, or am i just blowing off steam for nothing?

Hey is there any way to get the games to go to full screen on Hockeystreams.com? I really want to have to games at full screen because i connect my computer to my 40 inch TV when watching streamed games.

i just bought the HD package. I really hope this isnt a scam or is inconsistent. I go to school in Maine and we dont get TSN so I want to make sure that each game will play properly and there is no lag or delay. Can anyone reassure me?

So today I was flying back from New York to Detroit and I sit in my seat and see none other than Red Wings General Manager Ken Holland. We started chatting about the wings and he said he was on his way back from a meeting he was having with Johan Franzens agent. He didn't say anything about the contract but he's a super intelligent person and it was awesome talking to him about hockey. Just wanted to share that and see what you guys think.

Also the plane was 17 rows long so that is why he was sitting a row behind me. There was no first class. Also he invited me to park in the players lot and watch them practice before Tuesdays game against phoenix...forgot that minor detail

To answer everyones questions I did ask holland about the negotiations. He said hossa negotiations were stalled because of a difference of opinions and franzen talks were just preliminary. I will also let you all know that he likes hossa more than franzen. It was the best plane ride of my life....
