.......... continued As someone else already said, most every game last year was lost by 1 goal and that goal usually came after a stupid call by the refs or the Wings not being smart and taking another penalty after the first one and giving the sharks endless 5 on 3's. I think the Wings can be disciplined enough this year to not make the same mistakes.

Ok, heres my issue... To anyone (mostly hawks fans on other forums) saying call on ice was a goal and it was inconclusive so it remained a goal. Does this ring a bell? Call was NO goal, review was inconclusive, yet reversed.

I feel like a lot of people on this forums are 16 years old.... In any case, I think the Hawks have worked hard to get here, and though I really wish we would have met them again in the Conf Finals, it didn't turn out that way. They are royally f***ed next year because of the financial situation they are in. So let them have their glory, if any year was their year to beat us, it was this year, so I'm not sure why everyone is all up in arms with hatred. I wear my Wing's gear with pride everywhere I go in Chicago and very often I will get a random "BOOO WINGS SUCK" Hell, even in the past few day's I've had a few people at work ask me how the Wings are doing this year, and when I tell them wtf are they talking about, they arent even in the playoffs anymore, they just snicker at me like they swept us in the playoffs this year or something. Yes, it makes me mad, but i'm not mad at the Hawks, or their fans, I'm mad at ignorant people. I know plenty of Hawks fans who have much respect for the Wings, and as such I will represent them with pride. Last year before the rivalry got really heated, before the Winter Classic, I went to a game where we were down and won the game in a shootout at the UC, some random guy I didn't know who was sitting by us bought me and my buddy a beer at the bar after the game. They aren't all a bunch of 16 year olds spewing hatred just for s***s and giggles. Maybe I'm biased for Living in Chicago, but go Hawks, this is the closest they'll get for awhile. edit: to be clear here, I was born and raised in Michigan, and have only recently moved to Chicago. Here's my single beef with this play. Homer was doing that, the ENTIRE game in front of the net and it was never called. Both Homer and the San Jose players were battling, falling down, shoving each other. The only difference here is that Nabby was 5 feet out of his crease getting in the way.

I honestly dont think that it was a "distinct" kicking motion. Personally, it seems as though he stuck his foot out and it deflected off his kate moreso than him "kicking" it into the net. I mainly posted the dis goal and homers final penalty just so people could see them, im not saying they were total bs
