Proud 2 B a Wings Fan

Seems like people are split when it comes to the idea of the Wings having an enforcer. Holland says it takes away from the ability to roll four lines on a nightly basis but I think I have to disagree on that. I watched the highlights of the Habs/Coyotes game where Andre Kostitsyn was tko'd on what many say was a clean hit. The next shift the player that hit Him Sauer was on the ice Big George Laroque was right in His face telling Him that He wasn't getting away with what He did. At that moment I though there is what the Wings are missing, someone like Laroque who in My opinion can be a productive fourth line winger while at the same time making sure that no one on the opposing team takes liberties with any of His team mates. There are players out there Who can enforce while taking a regular shift to help His team. I don't see McCarty as being one of these players anymore though.

I think Zetterberg is almost ready to play. I have a feeling we'll see Helm back up before too long.

Fair enough. McCarts sound better? Heard Him called Carts way back in Jr. A. with Belleville. 1991 was a long time ago I guess.

McCarty's had a great career with ups and downs throughout. The time comes though when the Wings have to start looking at the situation for the better of the organization and maybe that time is here. If so I wish Carts all the best and thank Him for the years of entertainment He has provided.

Maybe they are just doing a little experimenting, trying to figure out if there is any advantages or disadvantages to having the guys skate on game day. I have heard the Wings sometime have an "optional" game day morning skate.

I have to agree We need a player to play the way Drake did. Hopefully Hollland can figure something out whether it will be within Our system or making a minor trade for some much needed toughness.

Good to know We have this Guy in the system and if needed He can step right in at any time.

Lets hope the Hossa OT goal is the turning point in what is just the beginning of the season.

Well I was hoping My first post on LGW would be on a happier note but I guess it wasn't to be. The Canucks are a team We should beat on any given night and it doesn't get any easier with the Rangers coming in Saturday. Babcock will likely go with Ozzie again Saturday.
