I would be going out because you are right, that is messing with the ratings too, but the only place around my area to watch is Bdubs (buffalo wild wings) and well they don't have sound and chances are the wings will be on one screen and bball will be on the other 46 TVs. Plus, I was there last year for game 5 and well we know how that turned out so I guess I am just superstitous.

I agree. I had full intentions of going to JoeVision but now I am staying home. I live 1.5 hours north and am not about to drive that far to sit in the equivelent of a restaurant and have to spend a ton of money on food and beer. I am sure it will be neat to be among fans but not the same as being in the joe with the banners hanging, the pregame show, the fire, the goal horns etc.

Right now it is a back and forth finger pointing match. It seems the consensus is that NBC is really to blame for this and blaming the NHL is their way to get out of it. I really don't think the NHL had anything to do with it. I think this all rests on the shoulders of NBC and their greedy pockets. What would the NHL be gaining by telling NBC no? What would NBC be gaining? RATINGS. They thnk by having 10,000+ fans in the joe, that will throw the rating system off.

games 3&4 were aired by Versus. This is NBC.

those were the good ol' days. The crowd was just amazing. But I have to say, this years crowd especially during these finals has been great. They have sent chills down the spine with their enthusiasm. I beleive we are making a full circle back to the "good ol' days" .

someone here that is good at writing should write up a template letter to email. One that is not filled with hate but with educated reasons they should allow this. Instead of NBC getting a bunch of random ranting emails.

This is why I don't read any topics that involve us winning the cup. I think theres on going around now about who gets MVP ozzie or hank? Well it might be Crysby. I am still nervous as well. Sure the ball is in our court at the moment, but that can all change. I hope this doesn't go to 7, I would like to win tomorrow but I am not going to make any calls or predictions. You are exactly right, we got written off and look how the team reacted.

I am contemplating going. I know they pipe in the sound, but how is it watching? Can you even make out much like the puck etc.? I have been to the joe many times for games but have never really concentrated on how big the screen was.

yeah, he looked extremely displeased. Which if you think about it is all the evidence one would need to prove an obvious bias the NHL has toward the pens.
