Becoming a one-point-per-game-player i a few seasons imo. Gotta love our scouting, 100-200 picks turning into great players just a few years later then first-rounders.

GDT 2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

I want Datsyuk to move through the middle, steal the puck from pronger, and finish it by moving just over the blueline unloading a rocket topshelf. Obviously it has to be done in the 2nd period of overtime.- 1,913 replies

In sweden it's no doubt ESPN America, but it's not due to content or staff. Just the fact that the quality is like anti-HD and not even widescreen

Hat Trick Dick Axellson at the prospeect tournement
theswede replied to Sitkajo's topic in Prospects
Actually there have been quite some discussion about his personality/attitude in swedish media. He was described as immature and lazy by a well known hockey-personality in sweden. Altough the so called hockey-personality is known as a loudmouth there seemed to be some truth to the statement. He played ok (statisticly) for Djurgården in SEL last season and eventually got traded to Färjestad (Who later became champions). Rumours say the trade was based on poor morale and attitude from Dick. But in Färjestad it all changed, he finished with a record of 6+12 for a total of 18 points in 21 games. I don't remember if he actually played in the finals, but if he didn't it was only because of an injured finger. He was definently in the first team. With all of that said i think it will be interesting seeing him now since it seems he's grown a lot as a person. And when it comes to skill he's already a great player. -
Hes more like the next big Swedish D-man then the "next Lidström". I've seen him in at least 10 games and i cant say he ever reminded me of Lidström, the Pronger/Leetch crossover is more fitting thou. But we will probably have to wait a few years to see what he turns into, but i would be extremly suprised if he turned into anything less then a NHL-regular. As a D-man you usually need more time to be ready for the leap to the NHL but with this guys physical play he might be an early bloomer even at highest level.

Pretty much says it all You cant play real hockey while being afraid others might get injured if you hit them with a (legal) hard check just because they are careless. And it might also cause other problems, I really dislike players who intentionaly put themselves in vulnerable situations along the boards looking to be hit from behind. And to reply to the topic: Just an amazing hit made dangerous by Sutter himself.

I would say Lundqvist since im a Frölunda fan and hes the main reason we won the SEL twice after 40 years of waiting. During the lockout season when players like Hossa, Chara, Näslund, Alfredsson and Gerber etc came to sweden Lundqvist pretty much stole the show. I also believe most people see him as the best goaltender Sweden ever had (Lindbergh being the only one who could even be mentioned as a possible challenger for the title). Its quite depressing seein Lunkan in a team i really hate thou :/
