A petition can be sent into the league for a review on goals and assists. It happened last year when Datsyuk was close to 100 points. He didn't get an assist on a goal, but the Wings sent a tape to the league for review and Datsyuk was eventually awarded an assist on the goal.

The online stream I had tonight didn't have any commercial breaks and instead had the commentary of Pierre and Gord Miller. Pierre had some interesting things to say. Here's what Pierre said about the Wings. "They're old, they're tired, they've played a lot of hockey." He then said that he thinks that Zetterberg is playing injured. Before the third period, they were showing people and the crowd. They showed a heavily overweight man and Gord asked Pierre if he bought two seats for the game. lol Finally, before the third, Pierre told one of the refs that they needed to change the highstick rule. It was pretty fun to watch what goes on during commercials. A lot of talk about the replays they show once they come back from break.

Wings GM Ken Holland told Fox Sports Detroit that Yzerman wants to run his own team soon -- and "certainly, he's ready." But the 53-year-old Holland said shortly thereafter that he doesn't plan on retiring anytime soon. So Yzerman may look to take a job soon. Still, most people seem to believe he won't leave this season. Yzerman will most certainly get a call from Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik. But ESPN.com's Scott Burnside writes, "We doubt Yzerman would take the job. Tampa Bay is pretty far from home and family, it's not in Canada (hey, we took geography in school, too) and it may be too unstable a situation for Yzerman to want to throw his hat into the ring as he considers options for his first NHL GM job." The Calgary Flames may also be calling soon, so he may look into those situations, too, but that has yet to surface. So chances are he'll wait for whatever jobs become available next offseason. Surely, the possibility of hiring Yzerman has GM might lessen the job security of some GMs out there."

They need to win. Howard has looked terrible. 11 goals in three games doesn't get it done in the playoffs. Osgood is a proven winner in the playoffs. 74 career wins to 1. What do you think?

The thing that people don't realize about the elbows on these hits is the physics involved in them. When the players make contact the body stops moving forward, but the arms and elbows still have inertia and keep going. That's why it looks like the elbow is flying.

What time should we get there to beat the crowd and to make sure we get to the game on time? What's the parking situation like? Is there free parking? I know they have a free shuttle to JLA. It actually should have been 8-3. Crosby's goal shouldn't have happened. Malkin was offsides at the blue line. He didn't have full control of the puck when his feet crossed the line before the puck.
