    Hinting Their Norris Winner?

Lidstrom is by far the best defender. He has gone one-on-one with Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin and many others and have shut them down.

    The curse of the Ex-Wing

Kyle Calder scored a couple goals against the Wings this year.

    Division clincher tonight?

Yep, but I would rather have SJ lose tonight. The Wings just need to make up two more points. Either by a win, chicago loss, or another scenerio that makes up two points.

    Kesler agent: No hometown discount

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=272410 I guess not everyone is as much of a team player as the guys on this team.

Concussion keeps Andreas Lilja's career on hold

Like Samuelsson against Atlanta? He starts all that s*** and when the other guy drops the gloves, he graps on for dear life. I like it when guys stick up for their teammates. Much like when Cleary fought Pronger. He knew he was going to get his ass kicked, but he still did it.

    08-09 Playoffs

I hate how NBC only shows Pittsburgh, Philly, and NYR. They all suck. Show good teams like: Detroit, Boston, New Jersey, Washingtion, etc.

    Chelios' 10 Years with Wings

I can see him going to LA after this season. They could use a 3rd pair d-man and someone to mentor guys like Doughty, Johnson, and Quincey.

NHL should switch to a "Soft Cap"

I think there should be a soft cap, but then a hard cap on top of that. For instance, a soft cap a 57 million and a team can pay a tax up to a hard cap like 62 million. I also like the suggestion of being able to keep your drafted players. Especially with all the talent coming these days. A soft cap alone is like no cap at all. It will be just like the Yankees and baseball. Last year, the Yankees paid more in luxary taxes than the Marlins had on their entire payroll.
  12. Art Ross Trophy - Malkin Lester B. Pearon Award - Malkin Hart Trophy - Mason (Jackets wouldn't be in the playoffs without him) Venzina Trophy - Mason Norris Trophy - it will probably by Chara even though Lidstrom is the best defenseman Calder Trophy - Mason Lady Byng Trophy - Datsyuk Frank Selke Trophy - Datsyuk Jack Adams - Jullien or Hitchcock Maurice "Rocket" Richard - Ovechkin

    Remember those commercials?

I think Crosby is still mad at Ovechkin for ordering all that room service. Anyone else think that?

Hossa injured vs. Blues, carried out on stretcher

Apparently, Hossa was asking doctors if he could play tomorrow. Babcock says he probably won't. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...sa_carried.html

Hossa injured vs. Blues, carried out on stretcher

I won't be too suprised or upset if he does play. Whenever there is a suspected head, neck, or back injury you're supposed to take these kinds of precautions. But it sounds like everything checked out and will depend on whether or not Hossa feels he can play.

Why no word on Hossa or Franzen?

Yeah, they can say signing Hossa is their deadline deal.

ESPN: A Glimpse into Trade Deadline Day

Wow. I wasn't suprised when we got Stuart. I had a good feeling he was coming. I was actually pissed when I didn't see the trade was reported by 3 o'clock. But I would have been really suprised if they got Blake. Almost as suprised as when I saw the Wings signed Hossa.

    Red Wings' Injury Updates

Yeah, you're absolutely right. You should be the GM.

    Who Should the Wings Shop

I don't think they'll shop anyone. If they do trade people off the roster, it won't be until the offseason. There's no reason to trade Filppula now. They don't need to get rid of cap room now. They can wait until the offseason.

    Ty Conklin

It will probably depend on if they keep Howard or decide to trade him.
  22. Nobody has reported it. I've seen nothing on: NHL.com, TSN, ESPN, MLive, RWC, DFreep. I will get a text from NHL.com if any trades are made and I haven't gotten one yet.

    Ethan Moreau

I can't believe that so many people are talking about getting rid of fighting because of injuries and nobody is saying that players should wear some kind of shield or cage. I'd rather get knocked into next week than lose my eye. I like how you can see a player's face when they don't have a cage, but too many guys are getting hit in the face and causing these bad injuries. Maybe people should start talking about that.

Who is the most improved Red Wing from last season?

After tonight's game, I may want to take back my statement about Lilja. Especially after that fight.

2/28 GDT: Red Wings 0 at Predators 8

WOW. Hossa is a better fighter than Lilja.
