Is anyone else watching this on Sportsnet and utterly sick at how the broadcaster always has an "incredible", "amazing", or "spectacular" to throw in front of the word "save" when talking about Kipper?
-
Was that just Ericsson using his...body?
-
Great clear Stewie.

HOLY HOT BAT s***!!!

Epicness will ensue. So stoked for this game! GO WINGS GO!!!

I've got zero problems in acknowledging that my level of respect has gone up large for Toews. Chicago is a very lucky team.
-
Anyone see how perplexed Sidney Crosby looked when the camera went to him while he was watching the handshake? I kid! I kid! CONGRATS LADIES!!!! CAN-A-DA!!!
-
Ericsson watching another one float by into the net.
-
Now they can place it back across the street from the ACC, where once again, it will remain the closest the Leafs will come to touching it for another 50 years.

Hey look, Leino is on his stomach in the corner!

Helmetless Malts with a block. THAT'S what I'm talking about! PK!!

If speed is so often cited as being a huge factor in the shootout, then why would Babs not consider Helm for the shootout from time to time? The team is sitting 22nd in the NHL in shootouts and its clear that not everyone is putting them in the net like Pav and Bert so why not shake things up a little and throw Helm in there? His hands are often called into question but what better way to get him some practice.
-
That's pretty much what I was thinking. I know there are more attractive options on the bench with pure goal scorers but I'm willing to put money down that you'd catch a goalie playing Helm to far out and his speed alone would back the goalie up quickly and one move or a quick release would be enough. Not saying he should be a staple in the shootout but the shakeup might do the team some good and we could get lucky. Not to mention it would give Helm a chance to work on his mechanics.

Eaves to Helm for the Gordie!!!

To me, this is the only thing I think of when it comes to MAF

The Wings lost last night's game to a team that played the best hockey of their year, as was pointed out numerous times by even their own broadcasting team. As usual, a team had to play their best game out of their minds to put the Wings down. Not saying that every loss comes that way, but when it does comes that way, I actually take a little pride from an otherwise sad loss. Every team in the NHL gets up to play the Wings, but the Wings just don't get up to play every team in the NHL.

They're involved fans with an opinion.
-
My opinion has shifted towards a more optimistic position on the guy, that's for sure. Still lots of hockey to play though.
-
The exact same thing was said when the CBC dropped the HNIC theme. Traditions aren't s*** in the NHL anymore.

The ONLY re-naming that I'm comfortable with: http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2009/10/a_...ng_that_ma.html

WTF???? Did that replay just show Ericsson trying to THROW the puck out of the crease???
-
I countered with Bourque for Ales Hemsky. Both are injured right now but anyone have any thoughts on this?
-
Ok, so I'm looking to deal Bourque while he's still high on the Flames point production and was proposed this trade for Raymond. Question is, with Sedin coming back, does this effect the value of Raymond and is this even worth it in the first place?
-
Ok, now I know you weren't watching the same game the rest of us were. The Atlanta guys were all kinds of terrible. Sorry, but that's just a fact.
