A friend and I were trying to figure out the start and end time of this historic game but could not find a damn thing. Can anyone here remember?
-
I am. I'm assuming that since it was a Game 7, it would have started at around 7pm for viewership purposes but I'd just like to confirm it.

Ya, my point producers aren't show stoppers outside of Green and Iginla but I'm expecting a steady output from a lot of them and I'm taking a chance on Havlat being healthy all season. I'm stoked on Lucic since PIM's count as a stat category in my pool. I'm also hoping that Hiller continues his playoff level performance through the year.

C - Towes C - Roy LW - Lucic RW - Iginla W - Havlat F - Pominville D - Green D - Kronwall Util - Morrow BN - Hodgson BN - Bogozian BN - Brassard G - Brodeur G - Hiller Kronwall and Havlat on the same team? Oh my!

or maybe a relation to THESE Callahan's....

Any relation between our Callahan and the Rangers' Callahan?

Holy s***! The B.O.B., HopCat, and the Griffins. Why don't I live in GR again?

Friday, November 13th, 2009 Grand Rapids Griffins vs. Milwaukee Admirals 7pm @ Van Andel Arena (Dollar Beer/Dollar Dog Night) followed by... Saturday, November 14th, 2009 Detroit Red Wings vs. Anaheim Ducks 7pm @ Joe Louis Arena Well worth the 7hr drive from Toronto. Anyone got "hot spot" suggestions in GR?

Outstanding! Last year I went to the Wings/Devils game on November 8th for my birthday and the rest of the night was a blur. The last thing I recall was going back to Windsor on the bus and walking/staggering into Cheetah's. Mayhem ensued.

I DO enjoy beer! Thanks for the suggestion!

Toronto to Grand Rapids, MI is 7hrs according to Google Maps.

Someone read the Yahoo rankings I see.

Not to mention his ridiculous breakaway goal against the Ducks. Linky! I get shivers every single time I watch those highlights and we get a FULL season outta him starting in 4 weeks!!!

I stay at the Days Inn at the following location: 675 Goyeau Street Windsor, ON N9A 1H3 CA Phone: 519-258-8411 Fax: 519-258-6771 Looks like they have availability that night and it'll run ya about $90. From here you can practically spit on the bus stop that takes you across the border and to the Joe. Be warned though, this place is pretty inexpensive and as such, attracts a lot of college kids from both sides of the border. Oh, and make sure to try the Hockeytown Cafe's pizza. Unreal.

I've been trying to find a registration date to start my Yahoo Fantasy Pool but I keep coming across conflicting information saying everything from "yahoo isn't having a pool this year" to "sept 1st" to "sept 8th". Anyone got a solid date or information? Thanks!

Nevermind, nhl.com says it opens today.

Create a line-up that you would hate to play against.

The 2008-2009 Pittsburgh Penguins. I honestly don't see how Pens fans can get excited over this lineup outside of Crosby/Malkin. Seriously. I mean, maybe you can get on the Staal wagon as well, but that kid is rotting as a 3rd liner and you know he's not moving anywhere on that depth chart. -

Ain't nobody, and I mean NOBODY, that works harder than a Newfie. That's a fact. Cleary is making this damn roster!

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=282739 First the Stanley Cup Finals, now the Winter Classic. It's wonderful to see the NHL working with such understanding broadcasters.

...and got Steve Mason's autograph. He showed up for the "grand opening" of Pro Hockey life here in Whitby, Ontario along with his Calder Trophy. For the uninitiated, Pro Hockey Life is a gigantic hockey megastore. Think Costco meets hockey. Be cautious of these stores because the pure concentration of Crosby ads is enough to make your head explode. They even pump out playoff audio from the two previous years and take one guess what team is the focus of that little operation? I went in the for the first time last week, and as I was leaving, I flipped a huge wall ad of Crosby the bird and said "F*** you Crosby." The funny thing is, the two girls at cash laughed at what just took place and replied "You aren't the first person that's done that!" At least they have this guy's handsome mug on slightly smaller wall... Anyway, I got my Team Canada puck signed, shook his hand, and congratulated him on winning the Calder. I was about to wish him better luck against the Wings next year but I was ushered away by a burley security type. He must have seen my Red Wings background on my cell phone after snapping those pics. Damn. Actually, now that I think of it, I should have brought him a broom to sign.
