I wouldn't be surprised to find out there are more goals being scored this season either. Especially since it's been Bettman's M.O. for a while now. It seems that no lead if safe in the NHL anymore and from what I heard, it's only going to get worse with the new goalie equipment regulations changing.

Wait. Are you saying that if the Wings had an enforcer that Holstrom wouldn't be abused so much? Because I'm pretty sure that the reason he gets abused is because he's in the goalies lap most nights.

Anyone know if you can purchase $9 tickets through Ticketmaster because accoring to the Red Wings site... "The Red Wings $9 ticket continues as the best entertainment deal in town as games in December and January will go on sale Friday, November 21 at 12 p.m. ET at the Joe Louis Arena box office. There will be a limit of four (4) tickets per person for any two games." I'm looking for tickets to the January 10th game against the Sabres if anyone can help!

Unreal. I guess this is a plus for us since we play the Devils on Saturday. I was kind of concerned about facing Brodeur since we've got 5 DAYS off before we were supposed to face them. Bummer for Brodeur though. Should make the record chasing pretty interesting when he gets back.

*yawn* Leafs should sign Gaborik. Besides, if Mats went back to Toronto, Ron Wilson would probably make him a healthy scratch in order to make an example of him. I could go the entire season without hearing about this guy and I wouldn't lose any sleep. He's holding too many teams up whether he means to or not. s*** or get off the pot Mats.

Currently in 1st place with a head-to-head record of 21-9-9 C - Nicklas Backstrom C- Brandon Dubinksy C/LW - Jordan Staal C/RW - Johan Franzen LW - Ville Leino (ya, i'm that guy) LW - Brian Rolston RW - Jarome Iginla RW - Antti Miettinen RW - J.P. Dumont RW - Petr Sykora RW - Jiri Hudler D - Mike Green D - Brian Rafalski G - Marc-Andre Fleury G - Ty Conklin - I'm in need to make some obvious changes soon. The first being the Staal/Sykora lack of production. I figured when they announced the line of Sykora-Malkin-Staal it would result in big points but I guess not. - Just aquired Miettinen due to recent preformance and also since Gaborik is nowhere to be found that equals more ice time. I think if - Ville Leino was a personal pick in replacement of Aaron Voros. I picked Voros up as a FA a couple weeks in and figured he couldn't keep that points pace up. I was right since he was held pointless in his last 4 games and was a -3. I realize Leino hasn't been placed in the lineup but it's a gamble I'm willing to take since we've seen what Leino can do already.
