If you want to whine about other non-calls that is a separate point. I don't blame him for the loss, just for another stupid penalty. As for Flip, he has his own thread where you can challenge his $3M salary. The thread certainly needs some solid arguments to that point because there really hasn't been one made. I agree that Bert is a bargain for his production, but that really has no bearing on anyone but himself.

Don't forget the Yotes lost Michalek this year too. I think they are feeling that one.

I get a little suspicious at surgeries or long term injuries like this. Just like Malts and Drapes surgeries I get the feeling that its moderately elective and just a way to make some room for the kids and a graceful way out should they choose it (yes I know Drapes wasn't going anywhere because they're on the hook for him anyway). The timing is a little suspect too.
