Seeing as though the boards were indeed down, I'm inclined to give you the benefit of the doubt on actually trying to post them earlier and not seeing the other scores [this time only]. However it would be unfair unless we DQed at least your first two games because Motown4013 withheld those picks herself for being late. I would say we should add a third DQ because yours were significantly later and everyone was affected by the down time equally. This would allow you the last 3 picks on the night - two of which would have otherwise also been DQed based on the time of posting. For the record, I feel a bit uncomfortable having to make rulings of this sort. I just help to present the game so we all can play and compete fairly (I am hardly the owner or commissioner of it). The picks are up on Wednesday night, and the only real rule is get them in on time [whether you double one of them or not is ultimately your problem even though I may point it out sometimes].

That is part of what I was getting at in the second part of my post. It's not impossible to go from SEL or SM Liiga right to the NHL, but it has as much or more to do with the player's maturity as a professional than it does the quality of the league. Of course the player must be extraordinarily talented, but compare Leino to Raffy - both were mid 20s and at the top of SM Liiga play-wise but only one was ready to go to the NHL. By even opening his mouth Larsson shows he is nowhere near there.

Raffy skipped the AHL (with the Devs). I think it really does just come down to maturity and the ability to conform to the Wings' system.
