The Wings need to play 60 minutes. They have been getting away with less then that lately but big effort is needed to keep the streak going at the Joe! Go Wings 5-3 Wings

Ken Holland has said that he likes this team so what does that tell you? Ruutu might be off the list and I am not sold on going after Hemsky. He is just another player that won't shoot the puck and we don't need more of that. I can't see a big trade happening but rest assured any move Holland makes will make an impact.

He is playing great! If you would have told me that he'd be leading Zetterberg in scoring at this point I would have never guessed it! But good for Drew, he earns the minutes he gets.

I just want to say that Ericsson had a good game! He seems to play with a bit of an edge against Edmonton! He probably should have fought Eager insted of taking himself out of the play but hey baby steps lol.

I would pass. I really like the idea of getting a sniper for this team but Jeff Carter is very streaky and is rumoured to have attitude problems. I want someone that will come aboard and work at 110% every night. I think that this team needs to have some more players that have that work ethic. We have too many players that coast through parts of the season and I think Carter would just be another one. If we could find a Morrow type that would score 30-40 per sign me up!

I had to go with the powerplay. Although it was tempting to pick top 6 scorer. The powerplay has been bad. A good pp keeps other teams playing a bit more conservative and you have the ability to put teams away faster and it is huge for momentem.

I wonder what a Franzen Ericsson package would get us? I like Mule but he is so streaky and is so lazy I think I am ready to see him go for a good return. Ken Holland refuses to admit that Ericsson has been a huge mistake. He needs to make a deal to help this team get by the second round.

Ken Holland is one of the best in the business but with cap space available and LOTS of expendable assets in the minor system he is crazy if he stands pat this deadline. Our power play sucks and we may need a backup goalie. Rick Nash please.

Bert has been great all season. Sure he takes some dumb penalties but often those are reputation calls at best. I for one hope that he plays a couple more years. He is cheap and he looks after his team. Pavel and Z seems to play well with him and he keeps the flies off. Mule needs to play more like Bert.

The big let down is the power play. How many games have they played where the the PP has gone 0-4 or 0-6. The Wings will need to get this fixed very soon. I have never been a fan of mixing up the lines for the PP. If your top six are set and playing well why break up that chemistry on the PP? Start Joey against the Yotes and if he plays well then ride him till he fails. I am very concerned about Conk's play. As a career back-up it's his job to be ready to play when called. It would be nice to be able to wait till the off season to snag a good back up because they will have to over pay right now. If the PP steps up and the Wings play well I think Joey will do fine till Jimmy comes back.

Power play needs to get going. This game should have been out of reach at the start of the third. Good win all the same though. This just in. Vancouver "Fans" riot in the streets after s.o loss and cause 2 billion in damage.

If Mule was moved insted of Flip it would probably not cost us as much. I too have a hard time seeing Flip go. Mule Mursak Kindl for Nash Pick

It will never happen. In good sport though, Rick Nash would be awesome he always was killer playing for Team Canada when he had some good players to play with. Flip Hudler a couple of picks for Nash

Nothing against any current Wing or past Wing but #5 will probably be the only one for a long time. #13 and #40 are great players as were #91 and #14 but it takes more then that to get to the rafters at the Joe.

Helm Miller Cleary are the only line getting pucks to the net. Zetterberg is aweful. I hope he can find his game soon or we are in big trouble come the playoffs. Will need to have him rolling to go deep

What is the chance of Holland actually trading Ericsson? As much as I would like to see him go. I don't think that it will happen till his contract is up.

So why not give Suter what he's worth come July 1st? If Kenny can keep his cap hit under 7m then why not go for it? The Wings will have the cap space to sign both him and probably a top 6 forward. They also will know before July what the future for Nick is. They will never get Suter from the Preds it has to be a FA signing.

I can't see Ken Holland making a huge trade either on or before the deadline. Rumour has it that Ryan Suter will test the market July 1st and my guess is that the Wings will push hard for him. I don't think that the Wings have the assets that other teams are looking for that they would be willing to part with. The players that could be moved like Hudler,Cleary,or Kindl don't have a lot of value even when packaged with a pick. Do you think Morrow could be had for a scrub and a pick? I am not so sure. I wonder what Ericsson would be worth as trade bait to a team like Edmonton that is looking for a big young d-man?
