Seguin, Eriksson swapped in 7-player deal between Bruins and Stars
Red Crazy replied to ogreslayer's topic in General
It looks like Nill was not the hold up in Detroit making moves. Off to a fine start in Dallas I must say. Eriksson is a tough player to trade though. -
I still think Iginla is a better option then Cleary. Paired with a good passer and Iggy could still put up big numbers. Sammy needs to go. Weiss at 5m scares me Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger59s Huge trade in the works. Boston and Dallas close on a deal sending Tyler Seguin to Stars for Loui Eriksson. Other parts involved as well. Expand Reply Retweet Favorite More So Loui will be in Boston now....great.

Cleary has been big for the Wings but he also has been out right terrible. At this point in his career i don't think he can be considered a top six guy anymore. Kenny needs to sign him to a 4.5 over 2 years deal. Im sorry but all he has is a ton of heart and as much as this team needs that it just isn't worth anymore money.
-
Boychuk, yes please! Although i was of the thought that our d was set?

Report: Red Wings out on Lecavalier - signs with Philly 5@4.5 per

Holland probably tried to low ball him. Holland had to use a buy out on Carlo and didn't get nothing for Flip. I am starting to really question the skipper because if the fish isn't in the barrel then he sure as s*** can't shoot them elsewhere. -
Dreger: Filppula looking for $5.5m/season over at least 7 years
Red Crazy replied to a topic in General
No it doesn't but taking the puck to the net and creating havoc in front of the goalie does. It's not like i hate Flip as a player but for 4+m that he wants I think the Wings can do better and need to do better. at 3.5 yes anymore no. -
Canucks trade Schneider to Devils for 9th overall pick
Red Crazy replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
The only conclusion i can come up with on this is that Gillis got his goalie's mixed up and traded the one that didn't want to leave and kept the one that did. Gillis may be the worst gm in the league after this deal. -
Im not so sure that it is such a good thing. Certain gm's will sign stupid big contracts then say they have no money which leads to another lockout which leads to another cap roll back. Some GM's need to stop betting that the cap will increase every year and throwing big money at players that don't deserve it.
-
Why has Flip's rights not been dealt yet? Maybe the demand for him is not as big as he thinks????? Flip swallows pride and signs for 3.2m
-
My guess is the cap ceiling will rise to accommodate the Penguins stupidity. Call it a hunch.

Vinny would be a much better option on the second line then Flip. He is a big body that doesn't shy away from the rough stuff the way Flip does. -
The only thing wrong with Tootoo being a Red Wing is that Babcock has no idea how to and when to use this type of player. Kind of like the May and Downey days. Tootoo could have picked his spots a bit better this season but he excited the crowed on got his team going when he dropped the mitts isn't that his job? As far as him being a liability for taking dumb penalties that is pretty weak at best. I just wish he was a foot taller.

I voted for Dekeyser and Gus. After watching Frk at the Memorial Cup he looks like he could be great!

One thing I don't get is when people say Fil's future with the Wings depends on what Pavel does????? Fil is a 3 rd line center at best so why does it matter? If Pavel goes back home after next season the Wings will need every penny of salary cap space to replace him and they will not need a over payed Fil taking up that space. Kenny Holland would have got overpaid at the deadline for Fil and he could have easily been replaced by Tatar. If Fil was not afraid of his own shadow he has the tools to be a great player in this league. I like him but theres not room for him.
-
Fil is a good player but he can go. He is a play maker not a scorer and he does not play well in a game with any kind of physical play in it. The Wings need somebody who can put the puck in the net for 4m+ and that's not Fil. I think Kenny should have dealt him at the deadline. Holland will over pay him though because Holland won't change this team.

GDT WCQF Game 5 GDT: Red Wings 2 @ Ducks 3 (OT) - (ANA leads series 3-2)
Red Crazy replied to a topic in General
Babcock got caught with a line full of inexperience on the ice and they couldn't get the puck out of their end. LOL at some blaming Quincey for crappy play, have you watched anyone else on the D? Turnover machines. -
We can't score so you want to bench our goalie? Do you realize that this is a team sport and if we started benching guys based on poor play or bad breaks that their would be probably 15 other guys benched as well? If you want to flame somebody over the loss then why not Brunner or the fact that the D was awful.
-
Thing is the league has made it clear that if you have the puck then you are not vulnerable and you must expect to get hit. Do I like this hit? No but if you see all the replays like TSN broke it down you would see that it was indeed a good clean hit with a terrible result. Like Paul McLean said I would be more mad at #61 for making a awful pass. Gryba shouldn't be suspended but likely will get a game. Stuart on Landskog didn't get anything for a similar hit.

injured Danny DeKeyser suffers broken thumb, out for playoffs
Red Crazy replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
That really sucks. Good thing is that the Wings have good depth on D. I am way more concerned with Kronwall's play then having to go with White or Colo. Kronwall was a turnover machine last night. I think the Wings playoff run depends more on Kronner getting his head out of his ass then DD going down. DeKeyser has a really bright future for the Wings. Tough loss. -
GDT WCQF Game 1 GDT : Red Wings 1, at Ducks 3. (Anaheim leads, 1-0)
Red Crazy replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Brunner and Nyquist have a ton of talent but last night their size and strength really showed. They looked like boys playing a mans game. Detroit is really lacking a line that can create havoc and wear down other teams defense. Helm was really missed last year and he is even more so this year. I am losing faith that he will ever be the player he was when he returns. -
Perry is a punk and do I think if given an opportunity he would kick a goalie in the head he would do it no question. What really pisses me off the most is how nobody even got in his grill after it happened or took a poke at Hiller. This is playoff hockey and the Wings played like pansies last night. Didn't finish their checks and let Perry set up shop in front of Howard. Game 2 had better be much better.
-
I am a bit more optimistic heading into next season with the players we have at this point. However there still needs to be changes. Fil, Cleary, Sammy,Colo, White need to go. I don't know why colo or White were not moved at the deadline for picks even high picks are better then nothing. A top six sniping Winger is needed. This team needs a lot more goals next year. Is it wrong that I trust DeKeyser on defense more then any of the other guys already? LOL wow this kid looks like the real deal! I will reserve judgment of Holland until I see what he does this off season. If he gives Fil 5m and resigns Cleary then he should be fired.
-
St. Louis is one of the best play makers in the game. Stamkos needs him as much as any play maker needs a sniper. Can you imagine what Pavel's numbers would look like with Stamkos on his wing? Deadly.
-
Yeah sorry for the confusion. lol

not with parents that should be parents it doesn't. Maybe talk to a parent that has lost a child before making dumb ass comments like this. Gain a little perspective about life. The Wings are in tough there's do doubt. I hope they get in but odds are not in their favor. both CBJ and the Stars are playing much better right now. The Wings need to get on a roll and win the rest of their games.
