My call is 106. Doesn't seem too unrealistc if they go 7-4-2.

Ozzie, like most of our Wings, has always been a fighter (not in the physical sense). Remember how he responded to the doubters in 2009? Love the guy's attitude, and I had no doubt he'd come back Now to stick around another year... not so sure.
-
Exactly. We played well tonight, just didn't have the legs to carry us through it. We just have to chill and move on to the next game. I don't know about the rest of them, but I saw effort tonight, they just didn't seem to have any speed though, and that's essentially what lost the game, Sharks were all over the ice all night, just ready to play.
-
haha really? I was thinking that was a pretty okay call from the refs. On the replay I could see the two collide (didn't have an effect on the shot, but in high speed the ref only sees the bump) Got to admit, I felt like the Wings were on the better side of the calls last night, but not enough to say the game would have gone the other way.

Jimmy has been real solid recently, I am still tentative about using the term "great" as I reserve it for his 40+ save performances, but he's been what I expect. This is how you win games, let's keep it up!
-
I like it eliminated my frustration from red on red, the chunk for the add might be the only thing I'd like changed but, it's perfectly fine with me.
-
Good solid game all around, but I'm not satisfied yet... can't just play one game and sit around the rest, let's see some consistent effort!
-
Did anyone else catch this today? Not that impressive if that's what the big deal was about... kind of cheesy too with the Hurricane getting to play hero. I'm still curious to see where they go from here though.
-
Haven't heard much about lidstrom... probably a good thing. He must be coasting until he wears red again
-
Agree. I think Stevie deserves a ton of credit for what he's done, but I also think the team's play is benefiting from the coach. Rollie has 3 shutouts as a member of the Lightning so give some consistency and TB's got the best team in a while. Even scarier is that last night during the Leaf game I heard "Let's go Lightning" cheers... didn't know they had enough fans for that.

Isn't the rule that if a player of the defending team touches the puck prior to it's entry into the net then the goal is allowed? Watching the video on sportscentre this morning it appeared as though it went off the glove of the LA player and into the net, which if it were anywhere else on the ice would negate the high stick. I'm sure someone else can clarify, but if that is what happened then it's a good call. Of course if you want "conspiracy" why not argue that the NHL owns the Yotes?
-
I didn't see the whole ice but I think it was... Nobody touched the puck on our side though whoever was coming off hadn't crossed centre when the next guy came on I think. Camera and no replay doesn't help but that's what I was thinking.

I really thought he played well tonight. He created at least one good chance and the one goal against where he was on the ice you can't really blame him... it was more a miscommunication between Miller and a d-man. I also think that if Bertuzzi didn't have a good game, the rest of his line wouldn't have played as well as they did. Like I said though, I don't tend to remember the negatives, I focus on the good times.
-
Bertuzzi sucks? Maybe I'm just keeping good memories in my head... why's he being singled out here?

I have decided to laugh at this news... but good news that Howard's on his way back sooner rather than later
-
Beauty! take a seat Hall.

I just don't get how a fairly routine save turned into an injury like that... I'm starting to believe this curse thing
-
Quite possibly the best game all season. Howard looked real solid, hope he can keep that up definitely the better goaltender tonight. 3 for 3 in Canada! Go Wings!
-
And I thought this was an old topic resurrected...
-
Yea, that's what I saw... can't really blame Howard for the goals but he found his rhythm after that 4th goal (thankfully). I also felt like those weren't the Wings playing there, just not the team I'd like to see, but found a way to win so I'm happy. Without those softies we lose bad.
-
Cameron made some weird choices through the tournament imo. The goaltender should have switched after the 3rd goal at the latest, the kid didn't have any energy left and you could see it in his body language. Just no confidence, the rest of the Canadians were panicking when it was 3-2, but he didn't call the TO until it was tied, I don't think that helped at all. As much as it's the players fault for blowing up like that, I think the coach has a huge part in how it all played out - there was no confidence or structure at all after the tying goal.
-
I'm not being very patriotic right now laughing at my friends right now. Man though, this is why you play 60 mins. Wings could learn a lesson from the Canadians here today.
-
I don't think Visentin can steal a game either though. he played well in the semi-final, so it could go either way. I think Campbell played great against Canada, but unless the USA plays a good solid game, they won't be winning a medal today. I think the only goalie that impressed me was the Finnish goalie, but I only saw his great saves. It really hasn't been a good showing for Juniors at all, it was more impressive with the Crosby-Toews-Stamkos era.

Sweden deserved a better fate than this, I thought they would be winning gold the way I saw them play but they lost it against Russia. Oh well, I find myself cheering for the Swedes here, nothing against the Americans, but Sweden deserves to go home with something.
