Voted Dats as a fan, but that Stamkos goal looks great... little bit of luck little bit of skill.

1. Allow players to use a kicking motion so long as their skate is not separate from the ice. Rule would state: If a player lifts his skate to redirect a puck in, the goal is disallowed. 2. Open the crease a little more, keep the blue paint the same, but use the trapezoid as a "safe zone" for goalies and connect it to the crease. (Not sure if i'm describing this well enough) Where the angled lines of the trapezoid are, connect them to the top of the blue paint, and that becomes the new "crease". Might look ugly though... either way, if a goalie is outside that trapezoid/crease area then he is no longer susceptible to goalie interference. 3. I think Aaron Ward said it on TSN, but call the games tighter. None of the chincy stuff and actually slow down a player on a hook. If a guy falls down, there shouldn't be a penalty on the play unless he was torn down (like stuart did to one guy this year). if you keep calling these feather penalties the players will keep diving. Just my opinion on those factors.

Road to the cup goes through Hockeytown. I know we just lost to 'em and there were moments of hatred, but as far as the remaining teams go it would be nice to see the Sharks win it. A good way to break the choking rep they've earned.

Impossible is a word people use to make themselves feel good when they quit. Thank You Mindfly Been waiting to have a reason to use that quote.

PK Subban has worked well for Montreal, so I really hope Ritola will put in the effort that Williams hasn't given.

I kinda wish they'd list the 12 directly, easy to miss who's actually in there. Noteworthy to me... Tim Peel who has a hard time following the puck (didn't call the play after hitting the mesh in TWO Wings-Sharks games) Brad Watson, O Halloran dislike for obvious reasons... but I think O Halloran deserves it, just not for Wings games. I get a sick feeling everytime I hear the name Marc Joanette too, haven't enjoyed any game where he's the ref. Chris Lee is okay... McCreary and Devorski I like though. O'Rourke... I think he's the guy that called diving on Montreal 3 times, as well as gave us the early PPs against phoenix in game 6. Not too sure about him. The rest have been good in that I don't have an opinion on them.

Stay awake for this one jimmy! Let's Go Red Wings!

Almost made a duplicate topic. Just saw it on TSN. Was not expecting it at all.

Jimmy has to play a real good game to win here. Really hope he handles the pressure well. Let's Go Red Wings!

same here... Regardless though, I think the number of referees I've disliked has become so high that it wouldn't matter who reffed I'd still have beef. Side note - I've noticed O'Halloran is actually a pretty good ref who calls games fair when they don't involve Detroit.

most important time to win. No Mercy. Let's Go Red Wings!

This. That was the reason we won last night. It gave me a lot of energy and adrenaline just cheering in front of my TV, can't imagine how the players feel after a save like that. Jimmy deserved the shutout last night, did everything he needed to win.

This game really decides the winner of the series. Jimmy's gotta bring it again. Let's Go Red Wings!

Let's Go Red Wings! Let's start up the Howie chant in here... Howie! Howie! Howie!

Evidence that the wrong call was made. "Not a distinct kicking motion but a kicking motion" When I was watching it, I got the feeling that they were going to call it back. The reason why though is not involved in any of the videos shown on the replay now. There was a view where it looked like he went out of his way to "stop" right where the puck would go. If that was why they called it back, it's a pretty bad call, and if it was what was said in the video? Pretty bad still. Of course, as Wings fans we should have already known the results of a team that didn't play the full 60 mins, right?

His family's in Michigan too aren't they? It would have to be a family decision if they even thought about going somewhere else. I just don't think it would make sense if his family is happy where they are.

sounds good! I really feel the kid has lost his confidence because of the way our defence has played. I'm hoping he bounces back like he did in the season. If he does, we can take control of the series just in time to win it.
-
6 teams? There's already 6 teams making it over there for the Sweden/Czech/Finland games (or where ever they are this year) so I would assume those teams?
-
Not quite the way I'd like to win (defensively) but real proud of Jimmy for bouncing back Abby... spectacular goal. The yotes got owned by an AHL-er. hah! Z, Fil and Bert was a real good line tonight too. All around good night for the guys who should be scoring for us. Awesome. Now back to the Joe let's rock it and take two! Go Wings! And though I didn't post... I was thinking about Ozzie coming in at 3-2, was real nervous then.

not even so much that he's short, but his head is practically in his feet. I don't like the hit BECAUSE a player got injured, but there's nothing wrong with it. You can take headshots out of the game as much as you want, but players have to smarten up and keep their head up. I sound like Cherry here, but it's the truth. Keep your head up when you're moving forward and you won't have to deal with these types of injuries. /rant.

And from what I've seen... illegal to cheer in buffalo. It's so quiet compared to Washington's crowd.

Watching the Montreal-Washington game... horrible call for the first penalty of the game. Made last night's calls look good. *sigh*

1997 losing game 1 to St. Louis. 1998 losing game 3 in phoenix... 3-2. Little more pressure being down 2-1 than 1-0. 2002 down 2-0 heading into Vancouver. 2008 - weren't down, but Nashville had tons of momentum after coming out of the 2-0 hole.
