That'd be cool, but I feel a (perhaps naive) confidence in the way our goalies could pan out now. Also: Is it reasonable to think that this could happen again?(not really informed on the SEL) Would suck to find out its a waste of money and cap space.

good eye, took me several views before I caught that. Looked like the PHX player just whacked it, but its on the VAN stick, I guess hitting the stick is al you need on a penalty!

Yea, it's a nice read. That Lidstrom quote is something I rarely hear, but feels really good. I like that we're usually pretty quiet about our confidence, but you always know it's there. Good to know we're refocusing, and remember what he said back in June... "6 years is too long" I think even twelve months is too long for these guys.

(That's why my #2 team is the Canadiens) That and the whole history really gives something great to cheer for, Wings get credit for their class throughout the organization, and they never seem to panic. my french is probably a lil rusty though, haven't used it in two years.

I've never understood that phrase... i always thought it was butt too until I came here and found I was wrong (but i don't use it that often, so i've yet to need a correction in that area)

And the longer he remains seen as "not special" the better chance we have of keeping him at a low price however, in all seriousness, i do agree that he has not proven enough consistency to be considered the "special" of elite players like Dats, Z, Lids, Hossa, Malkin, Ovie, Crosby, etc.

I know! maybe they're just slumping at the wrong time. It happens sometimes, just a growing pain for the team. San Jose, Boston, Calgary and Washington are all going through slumps of their own right now. We're just lucky the wings have been fairly consistent this year.

Lemieux and Roenick are key guys to the Sharks team, they have the experience of A) Having been through these types of stretches before and B) Playoff experience When it comes down to it, I think Roenick is probably the best guy in their locker room. I've always thought he's got that contagious attitude that drive people to be their best.

I would say it was a mix of both personally, but also have to admit Hartnell worked for that.

Just guessing here, but it'd be fairly difficult for the central to make it, cause they have to play each other to make it in. When two teams collide, only one can make it out alive. It'll take some luck, but it could happen.
