    Bill Clement at it again

Well, he's right... Wings goaltending situation has not been as impressive as last year, and the Sharks are the common Favourite to win the West. All we have to do, is prove them wrong. I like going in unnoticed, kinda holds off the pressure, which is already huge with the whole "defending cup champs" thing.

    2009 NHL Trade Deadline Thread

Just throwing it out there, rumours about Clemmenson being available ($500K) So we could theoretically afford him. His contract also runs out at the end of the year, which would say we could let him walk next year. That being said, I have confidence in our goaltending situation, and think that it's been getting better as the year goes on. Osgood still gets me a little nervous, but not enough to waste a trade on.

Video: Aaron Downey v Cam Janssen

I think clean hits was pretty even, but Downey came through to support our Hossa. And it seemed to jumpstart the team. Such an awesome night

Great to hear he'll be back, just take the required time to recover and bring back the fury in the playoffs congrats! (i don't think i'm anywhere close) Sharing this moment with the blues arena announcer who's participating in his 1000th game tonight. (so they just said)

Does that mean no concussion then? Even still, I'd be happy if he took tomorrow off.

So Kopy and Hossa are friends Hossa got hurt tonight Kopy started to play better... Does this mean Kopy needs to play with a mean streak ALL the time? That'd be pretty awesome. If he could emulate this play, I could enjoy his low paid future.

They included mention of his limbs moving properly; hopefully he's back for the playoffs. I don't want any rushes with this type of injury.

Downey just made me happy, tons of effort in that bout.

I want Ken and Mickey, the St. Louis guys are bugging me. They're whining about the penalty call, when it's a legit roughing call, could have eased up on the hit, but maybe that's my homerism coming in.

Ty Conklin: at a Critical Junction in His Career

Did a stat check, and you're right, his stats aren't as good as I thought in that year. Guess living in Canada and the media hyping up everything skewed that memory. He did have a good year in 2003-04 that is of note. And last year he was as solid as some starters out there. All in all, what you said is right, he's a definite fighter and is going to keep trying. (Also, I thought he was 28 not 32 )

    Pay Per Game?

I would assume that i-tunes (or WMP for that matter) would give you the best quality of a stream. For the most part, I don't want to pay 30$ a month either, because I don't have any reason to say I'll be there to watch every game. If it were pay-per-game, even at 3$ a game, I'd probably go for it due to the "lower" price. The ideal pricing (aside from free) would be about $1.50/game. Think that would make around 15-20$ a month to watch games.

Ty Conklin: at a Critical Junction in His Career

I'm with you here. He's always been a solid back-up. Looking at what I've seen him go through, in Pittsburgh and Edmonton, when he needs to step it up, he's been able to. I seem to recall him having to take over the playoff rush with Edmonton until Roloson showed up. (Salo was injured i think?) Last year, he had to do similar with Fleury out of the lineup, so i see him as playoff capable, and if he ever finds a team he can stick with, he will be a great goaltender. He does what any goalie should do: keeps the team in it. I'm comfortable with whoever is put in net, because last year Babs proved he'll go with whoever is finding a way to win.
