Don't the Wings have enough travelling on their schedule?
-
Thanks for trying! But you're not the first to try and speak sense into the naysayers *shrug* 20-5-4 isnt good enough these days But all in all I agree with your post.

HUGE save by Ozzie saves the day!
-
I dont get it... usually I like Fraser, he's fair. Tonight though, I havent seen half the penalties called. Especially that slashing...
-
Kronwall... twice now at fault.
-
Ozzie's looking better tonight. Solid, but the stats wont read so well.
-
I've liked Chelios tonight Looks a LOT better than the last time he played.

Wings got the talent, but what about the coaching?

This. Don't worry, we'll work our way up to Holland soon. -
Bad Lidstrom... but Conklin should have those, easy shots I thought?
-
I've liked him since the Cup final, that was the first time i saw him play really well, and consistently.

Same as Hasek. I hated Hasek throughout his career, even when he was on the wings. But Pronger... it's a whole different story. I just hate him period, and he's always going to be a goon to me. So not worth it. I respect his talent, but hate his attitude. And speaking as a Canadian, I think he's a disappointment to the way Canadians play.

flames are trying to get under our skin early... or is it the other way around?
-
oh right... forgot... we need to crack the home-ice canadian TV curse >.< and WHY does that have to be hooking?
-
GAYAHhhh! TOO close

I have absolutely no problem with his attitude. The press is just gunna take whatever he says and twist it until they get what they want out of it. When I'm in competition, I put my whole heart into it. I keep away from getting angry at my play though. Emotions play a major part in how you compete, so he's got to stay calm and cool. Inside he hasn't been as composed as he was last year, that's the problem (I think even Babs said this). Whether he shows it to the press or not is a different story. On a side note... it feels like the Wings play more confidently in front of Ozzie too. They build up a lead, or they fight a see-saw battle, but they play more energized. Just something I've noticed in the games I've watched.

We'd have to be on a losing team first I just think of 82 games of that February thing last season... nightmares!
-
I've been wondering if it dates backto the playoffs last year... and they're sitllin the mental state that hitting a guy is going to cost 2 mins in the box. ...stupid therrien and the whining.

This is true, Hossa's turned to one of my favourites on the wings VERY easily, he keeps getting key goals in the third. He shows the most effort on the Wings from what i've seen, and I love the passion for the game. But still, score please? don't rely on the shaky goalie.... (mind you solid tonight in the second half)
-
Hossa WHAT THE HECK? ... win though!
-
conks' redeemed himself for a horrible first period... but let's see a win and concentrate on a full 60 mins
-
Hossa plays clutch again! 4-4
-
Of course they are! Good calls to Chicago, Bad calls to Detroit
-
Nice Conker! Getting rough on the defensive game... lets shorten up the passes!
-
Empty Netter! despite the goalie

(my bad earlier, didn't notice names attached to message ) I actually never liked Hasek... I think it was mostly his style, worried me almost every time he made a save. Then there was 1998, the olympics were he beat out Canada. But, for Ozzie it's been a long slump. I remember a point last season, right after the all-star game he had a couple bad games in a row, then when he found his groove again, Wings won 9 in a row. Lots of time in the season for that, if you get wins along the way, just makes things better. As long as the team is confident we have no reason to panic.
