From TSN.CA TSN Link Looking forward to giving these a read when it comes out. Glad they decided to finish it up.

Good. That contract was BS.
-
Sure they can. Ilitch can promise big $ for downtown development to increase tax base for downtown Detroit to the City Council. Give each of the Detroit Planning Member a free Little Caesar franchise and *poof*. Two new stadiums. Why I would LOVE this from a drive stand point, I'm not sure even someone as good as Al can keep the ice in a shared arena as good as it should be for the Wings.

Damn, this came out of left field. I thought this guys back was ruined though. If he stays healthy and teaches BigRig how to break teeth outta people heads when they're anywhere near Howie/Ozzie, I'm good with this signing.

One of the Top 10 United States-born players EVER to play in the NHL playing on the best team in the NHL? The REAL question here is: Why the eff wouldn't you buy a Wings Modano (#90) jersey?

Latest Turco rumour: NHLSourcesSay 1. Marty Turco and Hawks have made a verbal agreement, 1 year worth $1.5 million...this is if they walk after Niemi arb. hearing or trade him. 37 minutes ago via web

This guy has some terrible luck.....
-
I agree with you on the softcap/luxury tax, but the contract IS bulls***. .01% of NHL players since the inception of the league retire after 40.
-
Time for a soft cap with a luxury tax. (More power to Jersey for doing this without technically breaking the rules, however.)
-
I don't think the Leafs care much about their fan base....they keep buying tickets, after all. Goodbye, Brett 'Pylon' Lebda, and good luck.
-
Ask again after Training Camp.
-
Would've liked to see what he could have done on a team that didn't overuse him in the regular season....oh well.
-
Unbelievable and sad news. Best hockey enforcer ever. Sad that he went when there are so many s***bags still walking the Earth. RIP Probie.
-
Makes sense, they are the only ones whom can afford him.
-
I cannot believe that signing. We should all switch to CNN so we can watch people in Calgary raze their city to the ground. As well they should. A LOT of bad overpriced signings....I'm glad we're doing nothing at this point.
-
You're right. Penguins have $2,258,333 cap left with 20 spots filled. So $752,778 $/spot. They did a good job. I'm seeing $4,093,663 cap left with 13 spots filled. For $409,366 $/spot. I cannot fathom how screwed they really are....what am I missing?
-
Man, I didn't realize that Pittsburgh has no salary cap.

U.S. DOD/DOE/JSDF contractor/liason.

Our apartment was just under $2000 a month, near the area where Roppongi Hills/Mori Tower is now. Nothing but insane fun.
-
LOL! Too true. Watching NHL live. Twitter feeds: NHLSourcesSay TheFourthPeriod TSNBobMcKenzie kusatoday (he's been quiet)

I loved Tokyo when I lived there Roppongi FTW.

That Sharks move is insane. No starting goalie? Guess Turco will take Philly's offer of $2M/yr.
