I know I appreciated the clips, made me feel like I won't have to wince every time a shot gets put on goal with Ozzie in net. I don't post on the Osgood bashing/goalie OMGWTF threads, I just want to see him play with more confidence. I wish I could remember what game that was, I would like to see the saves. I agree, Osgood normally gets WAY too much blame, especially since the Wings defense has hung him out to dry on multiple nights. We should probably let this thread die before everyone thinks its a ohsweetjesustheskyisfallingwhereareourgoalies thread anywho.

So do I, though I would be interested to see how he'd play.
-
5-1 Wings. Pavel hat trick, Osgood gets 2nd start in a row and plays solid again.
-
If you scroll up, I was talking about Osgood making saves on breakaways/odd-man rushes. People will jump your s*** if you say you'd like to see your starting goalie stop a breakaway/odd-man rush this year too.

I believe Meech was a healthy scratch for tonights game against the Wild, was he not?
-
I don't know you, so I'm not sure why you think I'm not entitled to have an opinion on a hockey game goal. I'd like to see Osgood play better and make at least ONE OUTSTANDING save this year. Just so I can stop flinching every time there is a good shot on goal against him. Preventing goals is a team effort between a teams goalies and the defensemen (and the forwards), and I've seen Osgood use his stick much than he has this year. I thought he came up short. Feel free to not read my future posts if they upset you.

Amazing percentages. Total faceoff count was 37-16.

I didn't say I was going to go mental about it. I expect a lot from Osgood and would love for him to play better. Besides the SH goal allowed and the Lebda injury that was the only bad part of the game. I was hoping for a point for Pavel, I like seeing him near the top of the scoring stat list.

Going to keep blaming Osgood until he makes a huge play on a breakaway/odd man rush this season. Period.
-
******* weak Osgood.
-
Good second period thus far. Good on faceoffs tonight too.

From: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/nhl/...-fighting_N.htm Interesting read for the most part. I thought the most interesting comments include: More people fight since there are less 'tough guys' that only fight. Salary cap makes more teams competetive = more fights. I like fighting in the NHL, and it would be a shame if they ever REALLY tried to ban it. It shows the players passion for the game/for their team IMO. What do you guys think?

Great 60 minute effort by the Wings today.
