Let me go ahead and sum it up for you then. We come out fast and dominate the entire first period scoring 5 goals (Helm, Helm, Helm, Z, Tats). Quincey Smith and Big E combine for zero penalty minutes the entire game and Mrazek shuts the freakin' door on any hope the Panthers have in the 2nd and 3rd. Wings win 6-1. Nyquist picks up the EN goal. Enjoy the night off

It's as if our defensemen don't know that NHL referees will always look to call penalties against the winning team.

No you don't. We would lose and likely lose 4 players for three plus weeks. This isn't your older brother's Wings team.

What is the argument again for Howard just being an Average goalie? I honestly don't know why people get so upset with that.

The biggest difference to me is that our PK was able to bail us out when we had these defensive lapses leading to bad penalties but now that we can't stop anyone's PP those lapses are looking worse.
