That's exactly why I wish we would have stayed pat at the deadline, traded Ericsson for a pick and bring up Marchenko and Oulette....giving the rookie defensemen some experience in the playoffs.

I expected some miscommunication between the new guys and our regulars but Cole and Zidlicky have been instant spark plugs to an otherwise miserable defensive two game effort.

Well...just to be fair we did play an overtime game last night, had to travel from Boston and played extremely well defensively last game so we were due for a letdown. Wait.....nevermind.

Let's recap...Smith penalty led to 1st goal, Ericcsson in lineup the second, Kronner doing nothing for the 3rd. I'm thinking our defense needed a bigger upgrade.
