    The Franzen of the 2008 playoffs is long gone and to think we chose him over Hossa. I wonder who is to blame for that one? Could it be the same guy who gave up #1 pick for Quincey? Or the guy who really wanted Tootoo? Or the guy that picked up Weiss? Or the guy that said we like Kindl and Lashoff? Anybody seeing a pattern?

    Boston's D is the difference. Kept us to the wings on almost every shot after the 1st. Our defense (especially Kindl/Lashoff/Quincey) watched instead of skating, couldn't win battles and made horrible 1st passes. That's the difference in the series.

    There was no attempt to win this game after we scored the 2nd goal. Babcock failed the team in OT by trying to change every time we had the puck. However, if Holland would have upgraded Kindl or Lashoff we probably wouldn't have turned the puck over 151 times tonight on the 1st pass in the neutral zone.

    Per usual....we give Boston way too much time and space. The great thing about the 1st period was Boston didn't have time and space.

    With the current team, we just don't have a chance.

    It can't be said enough how much good puck moving defensemen contribute to offense. Lidstrom, Rafalski, Chelli all had accurate passes that enabled our forwards to move with speed. Our current defense has trouble with pressure, and consistently turns the puck over in the neutral zone. Hopefully, this should show Babs and Holland just how bad our defensemen are and that they finally need to upgrade Lash, Quincey and Kindl.
