I just don't think people realize how bad our defense is. And I don't just mean that they are bad defensively(e.g. Smith and Q). We were built around having a blue line that can move the puck and help out offensively. However, we lost all of those quality guys the past few years and our style of play has changed drastically. Yet, we keep making the playoffs. It's all up to Holland now. We need at least one top pair defensemen (I would argue we need two legit top four d-men) and we are right back to where we were in 2008.

Because we keep making the playoffs despite having some of the worst defensemen in the NHL.

Man this team is awful

By far the worst performance by this team. To only play 20 min is a disgrace and they deserved to be boooed at home. If changes aren't made (benching Cleary and Quincey) then Babs and Holland are clearly not concerned about winning every game.

I doubt it's his intention since he was said to have wanted Quincey back but PERHAPS, he is putting Quincey in such compromising positions so we can finally go get a real defensemen.
