I hope that they announce Stevie and the crowd gives him a long and loud standing O.
-
My dad's boss gave him tickets to this, so my dad and I will be in section 117, 5TH ROW BABY!
-
Yup, that and Crosby actually hid behind his GOALIE after starting the scrum.

Seriously? Butt-ending someone in their face happens every night? I don't think so. Being a Holmstrom fan I've naturally spent a lot of time watching my favorite player get the s*** beat out of him every night. I remember thousands of cross-checks. However, I can't recall any butt-ending Holmstrom in the face and then hiding being their goaltender so they don't get hurt. If Sean Avery butt-ends someone in the face, he gets suspended. But if Crosby does it, the NHL looks the other way. It just goes to prove more and more that Crosby is a little brat.

New rule. If you're going to start a thread about an incident, take the time to include a video so people don't have to go searching and embed the video into the thread. Here's a video of the incident. If it looks familiar, Crosby pulled the same kind of tantrum on Zetterberg once (although Zetterberg didn't deserve it, and Foligno may have). It's not just an elbow, but a butt-end to the face. This is the kind of stuff mortals get suspended for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIcrxJR_WVs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1gePVhoYd4 It was a weird injury. At first he was down on his hands and knees as he reached up to grab his ear. But after about a second or two he passed out and "star-fished" on the ice. It looked like he was out cold for about 5-10 seconds. Then he came to and kept kicking his legs. The player that shot the puck was 21 year old rookie Roman Josi. Josi was quite the class act, he went over to Eaves as he laid on the ice and he also went over to Eaves as they roll him off the ice and gave a stick-tap to the stretcher. Josi looked like he was going to throw up, he felt so badly about accidentally injuring Eaves. I hope Eaves is alright.

I agree. It's like a boy going through puberty that grew 8 inches over the summer, and when he comes back to school he barely knows how to walk. Ericsson doesn't use his size at all. Although, I will give him credit, he's the only guy on the team willing to drop the gloves for his team.

The Official NHL Suspension Thread
Holmstrom96 replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
I don't know if this made it on here yet, but just in case: -
As opposed to Zetterberg and Datsyuk, who this season seem to be easily stopped by ANY goalie. Not saying they suck, they're just having some BAD LUCK!
-
2 goals and 2 assists. Damn. I guess it's his way of saying, "I'm back, please suck it haters." However, I still can't stand him for the same reasons stated above. I never denied his talent!
-
What the video I posted. You'll see a spoiled, entitled, pampered, little brat of a child throwing a temper tantrum because he lost. Have you ever scene Yzerman, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, or Lidstrom go after a guy at the end of a game out of frustration? Never. No one denies his talent, but he's not half the man of a Yzerman, Lidstrom, Gretzky, Messier, or any of the other great captains.

I'm a huge Holmstrom fan. But I've got to admit, he's simply not effective anymore. He creates too many penalties and called back goals. He's slow. He's got bricks for hands. While I've always had a special place in my heart for Homer, I'd just rather see a young guy step up that can contribute in front of the net, but also in other ways as well. As for Bertuzzi, I think he's still a 2nd\3rd line guy. I'd like to see us keep him around for at least this season. I'd love to see Ericsson go. He sucks. The only thing I like about him is that he's the only one willing to fight for the team, but other than that he is just plain our worst defenseman.
-
I like Ovi too. Yeah, he can be cocky and sometimes have touchdown celebrations after goals, but he's just genuinely excited about the game. He's not a whiner. He's not a diver. He's a two-way player. He has no sense of entitlement. I don't know much about Miller (since the Eastern conference only exists to us if we go to the finals). The only thing I do remember is that he accidentally hit a photographer with the puck through a camera-hole in the boards. He went over to make sure the guy was OK. After the game he gave the guy his goalie stick. So in my mind this Miller guy seems to be a class-act.

He is the suck.

OK, I did a rewind on the DVR and figured it out. At 5:00 left the FSD feed went out. They switched over to the Ducks feed with Ducks announcing. After about a minute Ken and Mickey rejoined and even said that we were watching the FS-WEST feed, but they were announcing via telephone. This has indeed been a weird hockey night.
-
People don't blindly hate him. There are many great reasons to find him annoying. The diving, the whining, the fact that he doesn't back check and just skates around the net. Don't get me wrong, he's got talent, but all of his annoying attributes combined with the NHL force-feeding us 24/7 Crosby over a period of 3 years didn't help. For example, Crosby is a *****, and will be hated when he throws prima donna tantrums like this after 60 minutes of diving and whining:
-
I think I'm getting the home audio feed on FSD now, but it's garbled.
-
I think the TV just caused me to have an epileptic seizure.
-
FSD keeps losing audio and keeps skipping on video...
-
Power outage!
-
Crosby's a ****** bag. With that said, I'm glad to hear he's coming back. It's not as fun to play Pittsburgh without him.
-
FSD just dropped the feed and is now playing commercials...

I'm a straight male, yet, I am sexually aroused.

How much does Ericsson make? Is Ericsson a rookie?
