Maltby was a total ******. The only thing was that he was OUR ******, and we loved him. He was always stirring s***, being a pest, running his mouth, but never actually backed his words by dropping his gloves. I love Maltby, but to say he wasn't a ****** is a dis-service to his career of douchebaggery.

I'd love to argue with you, but he might need to hang the skates after this season. Between his age starting to show and completely unfair enforcement of "interference" his effectiveness has been greatly reduced.

I don't know if I mentioned it here before, but Ericsson does indeed suck total and complete donkey sack. Ericsson is a turn-over machine. Don't let his size fool you, he's a gentle giant. Tim Thomas had more checks last season than Ericsson. Ericsson isn't getting better, he's getting worse. He sucks.

Over course they're over-ripe. When you have talented third-pair defensemen like Jonathon Ericcson you're bound to stay down in the minors. It would take years to learn how to generate turnovers and be as generally ineffective as Ericcson is.

Ericsson just isn't good enough, not even for third pairing. If he was good in the boards or he was a physical presence, I could forgive the mistakes. But the only thing memorable about him are all his defensive zone giveaways.

Ericsson sucks.

East. In the east if you have a playoff game at starting at 10:30 then you're in the SCF. 10:30 games are too late. During the playoffs I fall asleep watching them and during the regular season I don't even try to watch them.

Yeah, I think the big thing with Ericsson was potential. We thought he had potential. He was young and HUGE. But I just haven't seen him improve at all, and in fact as you indicated, he's been on the decline.

This is what I've been saying all year long. Jonathon Ericsson sucks donkey balls. He's slow. He's big, but he doesn't hit. He's below-average in the defensive zone and even worse in center ice and on offense. He constantly gives away the puck. He doesn't know how to dump the puck into the zone. He's afraid to shoot, and when he doesn't it's always a wimpy shot the couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Someone else said it best on this board: Jonathon Ericsson is the world's largest traffic cone.
