I had an issue with the Wings game on Versus (and all other channels) the other day; same exact issue with audio only and no video. After a lot of troubleshooting I found out the issue was with my Phillips 42" LCD 16:9 1080P HDTV. I corrected the issue by unplugging and re-plugging my TV. However, I doubt you're having the same fluke issue.

Let this be on our minds when we watch games at the Joe. If Wings fans start going over the line perhaps having a fellow Wings fan calmly interject may stop something bad from happening to visiting fans. I don't drink much and I'm not a big guy, so I stay clear of brawl situations.

I feel the frustration too. After Game 2 I was fine. We were just beat by a better team that night. But game 3.... Game 3 was just plain a zebra night. They allow the other team to SLASH Osgood (keep in mind Holmstrom has had goals called off due to PROXIMITY alone without contact). Then we get a call for Interference for checking a guy THAT HAD THE PUCK. And who made the call? The far ref of course. Then we have a whistle blown AFTER a puck gets poked into the net, and the goal STILL gets called off because it was the refs intention to screw the wings. It does put things into perspective. The game isn't fair. No game is fair, but NHL hockey is a lot less fair than it could be. Rules are inconsistently enforced. The league itself actually comes out and favors certain teams. All in all it makes me a lot less likely to watch hockey. I was pissed off after the lockout and didn't watch that entire regular season, so it's not like an empty threat from fans. If we get pissed off enough we'll just find something less frustrating to do.

Why can't they admit the wrong call was made? I don't know if I'll be a hockey fan next year if games and series are decided by people wearing black and white and not the players...

WOW... The refs totally screwed us... Interference penalty for checking someone WHO HAD THE PUCK. And then they call back our goals for no friggin' reason. If the NHL wants to keep reffing s*** this way I will brush up on baseball or something.

I'm really dissapointed with a lot of folks on this board. There are many things more important than hockey, and the health of Mr. Wisniewski, a Detroit-area native is one of those things. Who cares? Well, I care. And a lot of other folks here care as well.

Not really. Both involved the puck hitting the player, but the pronger incident was a lot scarier. As much as I hate Pronger, and as much as he's a bag of duche, I'm glad he's still playing hockey and not six under. Best of luck to Wiz. I'm worried about that injury, as it seems to be rather serious.

Wings suck. Refs aren't too far behind. They let MAJOR two handers and cross checks go, but call Lidstrom from a BS love tap.

Exactly why I hate versus. They were probably too busy plugging MMA matches rather than telling you about the hockey game you're trying to watch. FSN-D rocks. <3 Mickey <3 <3 Ken <3

Is it just me, or are there two different standards for roughing? The Wings get called for Lidstrom hitting a guys stick, but if Perry wants to cross-check Zetterberg after the whistle it's OK? Please tell me it's not going to be one of those games....

LOL, no kidding. Homlstrom probably wouldn't be tall enough to do it. But dang... So it's OK to cross-check a goalie in the head\throat... So it's OK to do blantant late headshots... Wow.

What a game. Except for the 2nd period the Wings played very well. Osgood played really well. The Ducks also played really well and Hiller had a heck of a game. The game was very entertaining, the reffing was alright, and it was a nail-biter. Way to go Wings, too bad we lost. 6 games, 5 wins, 1 loss, I'm happy! Good job Ducks, we'll see you in Anaheim.
