Gonna give him up to us? Who else is more like Conklin that is accessable?
-
That's a good idea, but I'm just not sure who the Sharks can get. Mason would be great, but Columbus wouldn't give him up.
-
Change him too. Shake up the whole team! Someone said the last offseason if the Sharks don't get to at least the WCF this season, Dougie will lose his job. Hold onto that promise, please.
-
Well the same path except for the belly up part. They definitely need to make big chances in the offseason. Shake the team up! I was actually thinking about it the other day, and if we are somehow able to keep Nabby as a backup (I highly doubt he'd be okay with that) and find another goalie to make our main goalie, it'd be great. I'm just not sure who we would try and get...Khabibulin would be great but our cap size will not be able to handle that A Nabby-Khabibulin combo would be my dream!

It is especially when you have lost complete confidence in your goalie, the Vezina candidate from last year. Oh well, lets hope the Sharks are going down the same path the Wings did
-
We really, REALLY need a new goalie. The team is playing oustanding and he's killing all our momentum.
-
We need a new goalie next year.
-
Please Nabby don't screw this up. Poor Mason. Nice try Blues.
-
Gotta give the Blues credit for taking it to OT though.
-
Team looks good, Nabby doesn't. Get in the game Nabby, you're gonna cost us the win.
-
Versus does that for every goal. It's not the Honda Center.
-
Finally the Sharks get the bounces...
-
Yes I am, you stalker. Kidding. Agreed. I'm really hoping that the team will come out and not go down with a fight. I hope they realize what's at stake and will play their hearts out because if they do, they'll win it.
-
Brodeur totally lost it at the end of the game.

I actually said Carolina in 6 (or maybe 7). Not sure if it'll happen, but don't underestimate them. Less then 20 mins till the puck drop in Anaheim and my nerves are really starting to kick in!

From what I know, it's rumored Marleau has a knee or lower body injury. Haven't heard anything on Thornton. No dude, that's how he always look this time of the year.
-
Thornton is definitely on my hitlist now.
-
At least not the first year.

Hello everyone, I've been gone for the longest time because of my frustration in these playoffs.\ Just a note to all of you worrying about the Ducks, there's no need to. The only thing they really have going for them is their defense and Hiller (who I highly doubt will stay hot if they get to the 2nd round). The Sharks really have surprised me (although you all may think otherwise). While I will say that they definitely outplayed the Ducks in the second game and the only reason they lost that game is because of Hiller and their lack of a good PP, I'm still disappointed in our leaders. Marleau (who is rumored to have an injury) and especially Thornton, do not know how to motivate the rest of the team, and that's their job! What really drove me over the edge was in last night's post game interview, Thornton said that the team "is right where they should be". I just about ripped my hair out. The guy is in denial and has for the last three years. I'm not jumping off the boat just yet because the Sharks can take it to 7, but not with the way they've been playing. They need to figure out their PP issues. The only times the Sharks look dominant is when they skate fast and bring traffic in front of Hiller. And shooting pucks right in the middle of Hiller or trying to get pucks through the 5-hole will not happen; Hiller's a butterfly goalie. They need to shoot high and on the corners, and both goals that were scored were either the top or bottom, but were on the corners. They need to get in Hiller's head, this is his first playoff appearance and the Sharks are making it too easy for him. At the same time, I have to blame Todd a bit (I would say 5%). He didn't transition as well as I would have hoped after the all-star break. The Sharks new style of play was dominant in the beginning of the season when nobody knew about it, until teams figured out how to play against the Sharks and play better, and Todd never changed anything. Can't blame him though, I lay the blame on the players. As for Nabby, the way he plays is reflective on how the team in front of him plays. When the team in front of him plays like s***, more pressure is set upon the goalie to make every save to keep his team in the game.

Yes I was wrong. The Sharks actually surprised me tonight. I guess they really didn't care too much about this game. It takes a couple of games to transition all the injured back in the game. The Sharks did get 40 some shots on goal and they were skating thats for sure. And I'm going to go out on the limb here, but Nabby definitely is not the same Nabby he was the last couple of years. I'm not sure if Dougie Wilson will look around for goalies (I'm sure he won't) but the five-hole has killed Nabby and he definitely is not acting like a Vezina goalie. I love him, he is a great guy on and off the ice, but he has to pick it up, and as the years go by, I'm not sure if he can or will.
-
Honestly, I don't see that happening tonight. The Sharks know what they can accomplish by winning tonight, and on top of that, Clowe and Marleau will be back in the lineup which only leaves 2 players (Mitchell, Huskins) on the injured list.
-
It better not be the Sharks!

It's my birthday tomorrow so the Sharks better win tonight!
