I can see why that comment wouldn't be well received, but if anyone watched the whole game, the Sharks dominated the play for most of the game. It was pretty accurate. Halak played great and stole the win for the Habs. I just picked him up in my fantasy league actually.

The wings always are able to get up for big games. They show up in the playoffs. Don't worry. This is just an ugly blip on the radar. It's done with. Just an off night + all the bounces going the other way. It happens to even the best teams.

I hate Ott. Glad the punk wont be on the ice for a while.

That's the site that I come from. You have to understand a few things. -Our site is quite small in comparison to yours. We don't have near the membership nor traffic. -It's a different environment all together. Things that are allowed on many other boards aren't on there. There are also many minors that frequent the boards. Keep in mind, I'm not saying what's right and wrong...but that's just the type of place it is. It's more nicey nice I suppose you could say. -A very large % of the people on the site know each other in real life. That leads to conversations more akin to what you'd find if people were in the same house watching the game together. I assure you the site is no joke, and anyone that chooses to come over and post would be welcomed. I very much enjoy hearing what fans of other teams have to say (duh, why do you think i'm here), and so do many people over there. Also, did you happen to see any of my posts? I believe I called a few people out on their homerism, although I was angry myself and could have just imagined doing that. Lastly, c'mon, you'd have to expect a few people to be pretty upset to the point of irrationality.

Yeah going back they did homer it up a bit, and they usually are very tough on the Sharks are a no BS duo. Guess they got a little emotional. I promise that they're usually quite good.

Hopper, it really doesn't matter. Sure the Sharks didn't get many breaks, but they weren't the best team the other night. The wings played better and deserved to win. Just hope like I do that the Sharks get it together for the playoffs. That's when it counts. Right now teams are simply jockeying for position.

I hear you. The wings got to them tonight, and some players lost their cool. I think TM will straighten them out.

That's not how it works, and it's not as simple as that. Have you figured out the offside rule yet? Sorry I couldn't help myself.
-
That may be the case...but the current set of rules are pretty clear. Call on the ice stands unless there is clear evidence to the contrary. I do agree that I don't think it went all the way in though.

I'm a he.

I hope so too, but you'll understand if I worry 1 round at a time.

I didn't see SJ goon it up at all. I saw Boyle let his frustration get the best of him and take a stupid slashing penalty at the end. The hit on Hossa wasn't intentional, he wasn't head hunting. I don't see where they should have lost their classy status in your eyes. No Tootoo action here. Man why did I even mention that guy's name...I hate that guy.

I thought the officiating was average. I find it a bit ridiculous that the boarding of Big Joe earns the same 2 minutes that the little "hook" Plihal committed...but that's a problem with the rules and not the officials really. The "hooking" calls have been consistent all year long. Stick in the midsection of the opponent = hooking, whether the individual actually was hooked or not. Yeah the play should have been whistled dead and the 3rd Detroit goal shouldn't have happened, but what are you gonna do about that? It happens, calls are missed, and as many of you pointed out, it happened before to Detroit, though that really doesn't change the fact that this call was blown as well. Who's to say that if the play IS blown dead, that Detroit doesn't just go down and score a shorty anyway? The goal taken away really did shock me. Especially since originally the ref was standing right behind the net, completely unobstructed with a perfect view, and seemed to be 100% sure that it was in. He had the best view. From the 2 replays I saw, it seemed like the puck did NOT go all the way in, but again, the call on the ice was goal, and I don't think you can really call those replays conclusive. The view was obstructed. I don't think the call should have been overturned, but if I had to guess, I don't think the puck went all the way in. *disclaimer - I was asked my opinion of the calls. I am not making excuses for the Sharks loss/Wings win.

I hope my team is still around then. As a Sharks fan, you really can't take anything for granted.

Well the better team tonight won. Wings clearly dominated the play, from the drop of the puck all the way to the end. I can't really put into words how frustrating this was for me to watch. I know the season series ends 2-2, but what bothers me is that even though the Sharks won at home, the wings were competitive. No one questions their ability to win in SJ. I can't say the same for the Sharks, who keep getting blown out at Joe Louis. The Sharks need to get home ice for the playoffs, 'cause they sure aren't the same team when they play in Detroit. I'm glad there's another game for the Sharks tomorrow...hopefully it will help me forget about this one.
-
You're right about that one. They're slipping up big time missing that.

Leino looks great. Another good addition to an elite team. Conklin has been great as well. I think most of you have been clamoring for him to be the clear #1, maybe this will vault him into the spot. Wings are controlling the puck and the play. If both teams keep playing like this, the Sharks have no shot to comeback. Home ice in the playoffs will be huge.

Just ran back upstairs to make sure you guys noticed the evil SJ announcers saying that the tripping penalty against your guy wasn't tripping. Off the net not blown dead, and wings score. That was sure fun too. SJ finally got one, maybe it'll be a game after all.

True, but I like to keep my cussing in my own home. To each his/her own. Back downstairs for the 2nd now.

Thanks for the thought. What you may not realize is that there are other posts as well that I might enjoy. I've been on these forums for a lot more than this GDT and have had some really great hockey discussions with a lot of the people on here. I enjoy hearing other people's point of view...clearly you don't. I also never said I didn't like what was said about the Sharks announcers. I was more referring to the way it was conveyed...I'll be more clear about that next time. If you really want the site to be all wings fans, and hear nothing but similar opinions from like minded individuals, then good for you. Live in your own world and screw everyone else right? Us against them, and if you don't like it, get out. Sounds like the last president.

2. ButtHurt getting your feelings hurt, or getting all bent out of shape. example He got all butt hurt when she wouldnt give him a ride.

Every time I watch a wings game whether it's against the sharks or not, he seems to score. He's a beast. Forgot to say earlier, that goal by Leino was a great play. Wings are converting their chances, Sharks are not. That's why it's 2-0.

Nice to see all the intelligent thoughts expressed in the GDT. Hahn and Remenda are two of the best guys in the business. Remenda especially is very quick to point out when the Sharks screw up. I understand why you don't like them though.
