He is usually on the PP with datsyuk and Zetterberg with rafalski and lids back. Now datsyuk isnt here to setup the D and hes struggling because of it.

67.4 Penalty Shot - If a player, except a goalkeeper, while play is in progress, falls on the puck, holds the puck, picks up the puck, or gathers the puck into his body or hands from the ice in the goal crease area, the play shall be stopped immediately and a penalty shot shall be awarded to the non-offending team. See also Rule 63 – Delaying the Game.

He gave credit to the wings and thats what a coach with class does. Aslong as this guy is coach of them they will compete and contend year in and year out.
-
They didn't even show a replay at all when the Pens shot the puck from the point and it bounced into the crease and malkin had like 5 wacks but couldnt barry it.
-
My guess is he will play tonight and only play on the PP and a few shifts here and there. If you watch his morning skates his foot is completely straight at all times, he doesnt turn it. It's most likely a broken bone in the ankle, ligiment damage or a broken leg.
-
It doesn't matter how hard he does it, it's still classless. He would have my respect if he acted like a mature individual but instead he chooses to whine to the refs and throw cheapshots (crosschecked zetterberg in the back of the head/neck area)

Im uploading abdecaters, lidstroms, ozzie, and blyzmas postgames atm

I went to game 5 of the Anaheim series and the tickets costed 120$ a piece but they were lower bowl (row 11). heres some of the prices from last year http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2008/02/is..._ticket_pr.html (scroll down near bottom)

I think we should keep both and get rid of hudler/samuelson or cut contracts a little bit. VOTE!

http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2009/04/ho...gsnashvill.html STORY: Red Wings forward Marian Hossa left the Detroit Red Wings' game against the Nashville Predators with 8:08 left in the second period as the Wings' medical staff chose to rest his "lower-body injury" for precautionary reasons. Translation: His recurring groin injury flared up and the Wings decided he should just sit for the rest of the game instead of tweaking it further. Ohyeahbytheway: Welcome to playoff time, folks, where Red Wings GM Ken Holland intended his discussion of "upper and lower-body injury" protections to take effect. If a player has his hand in a cast, it's an "upper-body injury," if a player's knee is encased in ice, it's a, "Lower-body injury," and we just have to assume that, from the get-go, Gary Bettman's upper-body injury has been stuck up his lower-body injury. Update 9:13 PM: The Free Press's Helene St. James confirms... April 9, Detroit Free Press: Marian Hossa left the Wings-Predators game midway through the second period. Hossa was hurt on a play when he went into the boards, just before Kirk Maltby was assessed a penalty at 8:17. Hossa skated off the ice by himself, and went down the tunnel. Hopefully hes only out for the next few games..

Trade Filpulla and Kronwall for Gaborik. Give gaborik a contract extension and sign him longterm with hossa + Franzen. (6.75m in cap space freed with trading fil and kron) Sign franzen for 5m, 5m, 4.5m, 4.5m, 2m, 2m, 1m. Cap hit? 3.4m Gaborik 6m 6m 6m 5.5m 5m 3m 1m 1m. One of the Stall brothers will prolly make it. Danny Briere Possibly Steve Mason? Jonathan Toews if he can score on an open net on marty turco..
-
should the league take a look at the gang up on zetterberg at the end of the game? All 3 of them cheapshotting him with crosschecks right in the spot of a recent injury? There not even going for the puck either thats what really gets me..
-
We will find out trade deadline day if hossa will be staying or not. If no trades occur (filppulla) then its not possible. But if we can get rid of him then we open up a lot of space.
-
I don't agree with the comments because hossa is a great player and is just in a slump right now. However he needs to desperately improve on his 1 on 1 and 2 on 1s.. countless times we see big opportunities go down the drain because of lousy mistakes and bad stick handling. But theres one thing that really makes him exciting: When hes got his game on he is impossible to stop. I think he will wake up and play smarter(with the puck) as the season progresses.

I can assure you that franzen hossa and zetterberg will be back. Holland is just too good of a manager and always finds ways to get the best group of players and keep it under the cap. However I think we should trade hudler while we can because its unlikely for him to produce these kind of numbers year in and year out.

I agree gaborik is a great player and has great speed. But, he lacks defensive skills and that's whats important about the red wings game. They have many forwards who play great on defense and gaborik lacks that skill. And moving rafalski would be terrible because him and lidstrom have great chemistry together (moving puck on the blueline). If anyone should get moved I would say brad stuart/lilja. Also throw filppula and cleary into the mix because they are not worth the money we paid for them. (cleary 2.8m/season filppula 3m/season..) I would say get rid of stuart, trade filpulla/cleary and move Erikson up. Then you have room for hossa/zetty/franzen next season.
