What's with all the band wagon Crosby fans. Ovechkin is a much, much, much better offensive foward then Crosby. Datysuk is a much, much, much better defensive forward then Crosby. Crosby is not a good leader. And if he was, Pittsburgh wouldn't be in 10th place in the east. Crosby is the most over-rated player in the game today. He sucks, and so do you if you think he's anywhere near better then Ovechkin.

Ankle sprain? Some stupid Penguins fan probably pushed him down the stairs.

How is Holland going to sign Hossa, and Franzen, or even one, fill half a dozen more roster spots including a goalie, and probably a back up goalie. If Osgood doesn't turn it around, he won't be here next season, and neither will Hossa most likely. So much of this teams immediate future is riding on Osgood, it's sickening. If he turns it around, great. If he doesn't, no goalie at all for next season, no cap room, and players will think twice about taking a "discount". The smart thing to do would be to trade a roster player for a goaltender. You're going to lose that player anyways next season, might as well get something for it, and salvage the chance to win a cup this season.

Helm is all chances and no finish. This guy is faster then any Wing but isn't really doing anything with his chances. Their both solid, and Helm will become a good scorer eventually, but today if you had to pick one or the other, Leino is playing better now, and has the bigger potential to be a top 6, 60 points a year player.

Probably impossible, but if he comes close, perhaps 2nd in points, first in +/-, he should be a lock for the Selke, and hopefully win the Hart. I mean really, without Datysuk this team would be pretty dismal even with Hossa and Zetterberg. The Datsyuk line rarely ends a night -1, or even lets in a goal when he's on the ice. It's looking like Ovechkin for the Hart again though. I hope they don't give it to Thomas or Malkin or his cry baby team mate.

Now that Hasek is gone, Turko and Thomas are undeniably the most entertaining goalies in the league.
-
Sounds more like we'll miss the entire play-offs We need a goalie for next season anyways, no time like the present to grab a cheap one.
-
That's because the Wings used to have 2 equally good goalies. Lets get Curtis Joseph back!!!
-
He's not had that many chances. This was a bad game to play him. The Wild rarely let in more then 2-3 goals, big pressure to not let any in. Should of played him against LA next week, where he could let in 4 or 5 and the team would still win. Either way, Osgood wouldn't of performed any better. It's Conklin or nothing boys.
-
God himself couldn't of scored their, 8 skaters standing in front of the net. New goalie please Holland? Minnesota is one of the worst teams offensively in the league.
-
Kill penalties and good defensively. Yeah, forget goals, who cares about goals right? Let's just have 12 passers.
-
Is Holland really going to say we don't need a goalie now? Howard can't cut it, Osgood is playing horribly, so it's all down to a guy who's played 1 play-off game. Wings are out in the first round. Look at the Wild, one good goalie and a trapping team can shut out Hossa, Z, Franzen and Dats. Wings need a goalie, simple as that.

Good work 4th line!
-
Trade it for Backstrom . Seriously though, shopping the pick isn't the thing to do, because instead you could get one of these guys for 1 million a season for 3 years.
-
Wings are playing terribly. Every guy.
-
Pull! Sorry Howard. The Wild have some spunk.
-
Give Howard the start against LA. Hopefully Conklin can handle playing last night, tomor, and in San Jose next Wednesday.
-
One bad contract can break a team. Yashin's broke the Islanders, and Fishers is killing Ottawa, not to mention letting Chara go. Ottawa feel hard. No one will ever take Fishers on a trade, and he's playing horribly.
-
Franzen's against Montreal should be top 3. It was all skill, one man doing it all. Ovechkin's top goals are more to do with luck.
-
Small goalies suck, no one under 6'1.
-
I hope so too, and perhaps he'll take a big discount, then it'll be 3 Cups in a row for sure.
-
Whether Osgood is getting bad bounces or not, watching the Wings in front of Conklin just seems way more enjoyable. The fans are less worried, the players are less worried and play better. Osgood got his wake up call with Howard coming in, maybe he'll turn it around.
-
Their just getting ready to put the "C" on it. Well, maybe a year and a half from now.
-
All things considered, Conklin is rock solid. I would have to think he'll be the starter in the play-offs. Ozzy needs more big pressure on him, so give him one last chance. Give him the start against San Jose. Not only is San Jose Detroits biggest threat, but chances are whoever wins that game will win the West, and 1st place. A huge game seeing that in a 7 games series, if San Jose has home ice advantage, they'll likely take it. Give Ozzy the start, if he lets in more then 3 goals, he's out, Conklin is the man. It should be made abundantly clear.

He just got back from injury, and may not be 100%, I think were all glad he didn't fight tonight. But Hossa is a GOD! He put Crosby and Semin to shame.
