As far as the other division teams, theres really no history with any of the other teams other than perhaps StLouis and they only rival the BlackHawks in suckage for the past decade/s. Maybe Columbus. Oh yes, theres been a few years here and there with StLouis but lets face it, StLouis is an insignificant 3 sport city where only the Cardinals matter and speaking of Cardinals, the NFL Cardinals bolted to Arizona. How embarrassing is that. StLouis is a Cardinals town and thats it. Maybe NASCAR. Ohio? The pitiful Browns/Bengals have rivaled the Lions in futility. Baseball teams have fared better. But Columbus, its a college football town. Always was, always will be. The BlueJackets are an appendix in the sports scene there. 26th in league attendance with a playoff team. A O way to go O H I O. Nashville? Lucky to still be in that city. 1 sport town. The Grand Ole Opry is a bigger draw. Ranked 28th in attendance this year. Which brings us to the Blackhawks. Yes. We're not rivals? Perhaps. Not if you were born during the past 2 decades anyways but there are many older posters here. Under the leadership of Dollar Bill Wirtz, he managed to run the Blackhawk franchise into the ground. No matter, thats history and the franchise has had a resurgence as if nobodys noticed. Whether anyone here would care to admit it or not, the Blackhawks are back and won't be a one shot wonder either. So heres to a good series guys. Everyone in Chicago's looking forward to it win or lose.

Our #5 dman Wisniewski went the Anaheim and was their #3. Samsanov who was almost sent down to the A goes to Carolina and becomes one of their top 6. Rene Borque couldn't cut top 6 in Chicago and goes to Calgary and becomes probably their top LWr. Anaheim has a heck of a top line but thats it. The Hawks are one of the deepest teams across the board. So are the Wings. If anyone knows their opponent, its Babcock and I'm sure hes dialed into exactly what hes facing.

Yeah thats what all the so called "experts" have been saying all throughout the first and second rounds. Guess we'll just have to see. Hawks have nothing to lose. The defending SC camps on the other hand do. Wings have a hell of a team. Thats a fact and of record. Blackhawks are on the come.

Great boards guys. I've been around for awhile but haven't registered or posted up till now. Good luck on the next two games with the Hawks. Of course I'm hoping we come out on top but I will say the two against Detroit is huge for the Hawks. From our perspective, its been long overdue that the Blackhawks could actually make some type of a challenge for the division. Little did we realize it may actually be this year. As far as the chanting goes, can you really blame the Hawks fans after decades of apathy and mis-management by William W Wirtz and the tool of a GM Bob Pulford while Detroit ran the tables for the past several decades. It is somewhat embarrasing though especially in our recent game against the Flyers at the end when that stuff broke out. Just goes to show how much envy there is. Funny stuff about the Packers comment. Yah, you don't want to know.
