Exactly. I read through that whole thread. These people honestly believe that there's some ILOVETHEWINGS reffing going on. I'm not even kidding you. People are leaving comments like "The Ducks know every time they're on the ice that they have to fight of referee bias towards the Wings." Wtf? You lost because your team couldn't get it together and produce, not because we got all the calls. We had an EQUAL amount of power plays.

Babcock touched on this in the post-game interview. He said that it doesn't matter what he tells Datsyuk about how he played, Dats doesn't feel he's of any value unless he scores.. so he just wants him to score. He said he's doing an amazing job of making chances for everyone else and if he just waits around, he'll get his too.

D-Mac is probably done. Drapes' contract is up in 2011 and Malts' contract is up in 2010. After their contracts are done, they'll probably retire.

I love Hossa. I love his snap and release. I love how clutch he's been for this team. And yeah, he has his dry spots - but he's a great hockey player, through and through. His chemistry with this team is undeniable, in my opinion. I would do what it took to keep him as long as he would be willing to drop down his price tag. We don't have the cap space to give him what he could get elsewhere, but if he'd be willing to take a couple million less - then I'd say sure, sign him up. It really all depends on what the lowest he'd take is.

First of all, you need to calm WAY down. Secondly, me posting a thread about how a Ducks fan thinks the league wants the Wings to advance is hardly "playing conspiracies". If anything, THEY'RE playing conspiracies and I'm just laughing at it. I don't buy into this whole "the league wants certain teams to advance" BS.. and when I come across it, I find it incredibly amusing. The Red Wings are FAR from favored in the league. They've been a dominant hockey club for 11+ years. In any sport, that's not considered "good". It doesn't do much to keep competition alive and keep people interested. THAT'S why it was hilarious to see. The NHL is a business - just like everything else. Having a long-standing hockey dynasty is NOT good for competitive business. Plain and simple.

Agreed. He can fall every other second and I won't care.. he puts up a considerable amount of goals, the highest plus/minus in the postseason (on the Wings), and puts more effort into his shifts than almost anybody. Keep falling, Cleary. I'll keep lovin' you.
