I can't begin to tell you how many times I've seen that limo drive by while I was at Hockeytown Cafe or going to the game. Love that car.

As of now, there will be no screen outside the Mellon. However, hockeybuzz.com says that NBC is reconsidering for Pittsburgh due to emails they've received.. and also a little bribing, offering free advertising on the website. Here's the link.

Weren't the first couple of games on Versus? If so, that may be why.

Didn't Pittsburgh only retain one of their UFAs when all was said and done? It seemed to me he realized that a certain number of people in the locker room would be leaving and as a result, the direction of where the team was headed wasn't clear.

Fair enough. It just seems to me that he didn't start talking down to people until they started reacting poorly when they couldn't understand what he was saying to begin with.

Wait wait wait. You guys make a "your mother" comment and start taking personal jabs at him and then tell him to "get over it"? (Insert facepalm here.) You can disagree with his Hossa argument or any other arguments he makes, but you can do it in a polite and respectful manner. That's all anybody is really asking for. However, taking jabs at him like that and then acting like he's performing a monumental travesty when he points it out and calls it disrespectful... that just doesn't make any sense.

I think it's hilarious that 90% of this board doesn't understand that he's pointing out how hypocritical opposing fan-bases are. They see a slash on one of their own players and they call it classless. They see an identical slash on one of the opposition's players and they call it grit. The fact that some of you couldn't understand that is funny in itself. The fact that you think using long words makes someone cocky is even funnier.

I didn't go back and read the pages of this thread, but I don't think personal attacks - from either side - are right. I know that people go up in arms over attacks on the city of Detroit and its economic state, so I certainly can't understand why anybody would say anything about your mother. I do get your point. And I don't think it's right of them to do it, no matter what team you root for.

Guys, I think we're doing a bit of overkill here. Their team lost. Not just lost.. but they were completely blown off the ice. They're angry. They're disappointed. And they're lashing out. Much like the posters on here do after a big loss. I don't see any reason to make threads gloating about it. It's kind of like rubbing the dog's nose in his own s***. And for all of us saying THEY aren't classy, these threads certainly don't help make the case that WE are. Not trying to cause a debate. Just sayin'.
