So because Osgood COULD start playing poorly, we should all stop congratulating and him and being happy for how well he has played. That's the dumbest logic I've ever heard. He's been playing well which means there's absolutely no reason for guys like you or the article writer to jump all over him as if he's done something wrong already. Give the guy some credit. If we want to congratulate him on a job well done, let us. You and I both know damn well that if he plays ONE bad game, threads will be up here like mad about how much he sucks. So give it up. Let us enjoy his good play.. and for God's sake, acknowledge it.

I posted this response in another thread with this link posted in it, but here's the jist of what I said. 1. We don't chant Ozzie because we think he's weak. We chant Ozzie because we appreciate what he's done for us at the time. 2. When have the Red Wings EVER been known as a team to get in the heads of? We're amazingly good at not caring what you say and do.. we've been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt.

That guy is ridiculous. I was at the game last night. I wasn't chanting "Ozzie" because I knew he was the "weak link" and I wanted to "artificially inflate" his confidence... I was chanting "Ozzie" because I freakin' appreciated that he was making the saves he needed to make in order for us to win this game. We chant because we appreciate him - not because we don't want him to suck. It's clear that he's really never critiqued Red Wing hockey before, and he highly underestimates the fans. I mean, come on.. "Put a few in net and get into the head of their goalie and their team"? Does he not realize that most of the guys on that team have been up this hill and down the other side COUNTLESS times? Seriously - when have the Wings EVER been a team that someone has been able to "get in the head" of? Dude's an idiot. That's all there is to it.

No wonder the crowd was amazing. I had my LGWers there.

Oh boo. I was in section 105, row 15, seats 1-2. Maybe you guys beat us to the punch.

!!!!!!!!!!!!! What section were you in? My dad and I decided during the first period that if we were winning, we'd chant it at the 2 minute mark of the third period. So we did. We got everyone around us to do it to - making them promise to join in.

Man, you need to come back for a game. Or move back, if only for the Wings. I also noticed something else while we were there. Anybody who says we have an empty arena is BSing themselves. Not only did they have temporary seating filling up some of the aisleways, but they had folding chairs set up on the platforms. They had to put extra seating in to fit everyone.

I know. I need to be at every single game. Come on, LGW. Pool for tickets for me!

Oh mannnn. I can never get over how great it feels to go to a playoff game. I told you guys - every single game my dad and I have gone to, we've won... except for the one Calgary game that we left before the third period due to job interview things and wouldn't you know it - THAT period the Wings lost their lead and lost the game. I'm telling you. I'm a good luck charm! And to top it all off, I made sure at the end to tell the Columbus fans near me that I hope they had fun and that they had a good experience in Detroit. They were thrilled. Osgood with a shutout? Beautiful. I gotta ask: Did you guys hear the "Go Home Jackets" chant that my dad and I started?

Forget them. Cleary puts his heart and soul into every single game, night in and night out. I don't care what anyone else thinks of him, he's my favorite player on the team. So to the naysayers, I say "Haters gonna hate!" 'Atta boy! :beerbuddy:
