Agreed 100%. I really feel horrible when someone makes fun of his weight now. If I had anything other than MS Paint and had any creativity in my brain whatsoever, I'd try to make a picture. But alas, I don't.

I will be taking pictures tonight, after I return from the game. I have my bracelet and I put a brand-spakin'-new bright red (though it looks more pink) streak in my hair. It looks pretty funny now, but hopefully after we start racking up more wins, I'll look semi-normal.

Dude's got some serious medical reasons behind his weight. As much as I hate what he said and think he's being a stupid ass whiner, the article I read about his weight certainly made me feel for him a bit. We should probably lay off the weight comments, 'cause we're just going to look like classless fools. (Not that you are, I'm just assuming you don't know the story. But a Blue Jackets fan posted it in a thread here.)

Dan Cleary makes me thrilled that I bought his jersey. Thrilled. No sarcasm whatsoever. I absolutely love that man.

I will be at the game tonight, cheering my butt off, and trying to jump high enough to see over everybody else's head. (Yes, I really am that short.) I am bringing my digital camera (which is an adorably girly pink color), and I will ask my dad to take some pictures so the LGWers can feel like they were 15 rows from the ice as well. How does that song go? "Everything I do, I do it for you."

I couldn't tell you which one was cheaper because I'm not sure what they raised the ticket prices to. My guess would be that they're about even. My dad and I usually park on Cobo Roof Deck.. we've never parked in the actual garage.

Did anybody hear the interview with Hitchcock on the radio? He claimed that the Blue Jackets scored two goals on themselves so it was really a tie game. Yeah. I'm not even kidding. He said that.

After the interference/high sticking murder Columbus got away with last night, Hitchcock really has some balls to go and talk about us "cheating" at face-offs. Grow up. It's the playoffs. s*** doesn't get called. Did Babcock sit there and go off about Columbus' players high sticking Flip or interfering with almost anybody we had on the ice? No, he certainly didn't. He knows to stay out of that crap. Take a lesson, Hitch-pansy. You're starting to sound like my seven year old cousin when her Barbies get taken away for bad behavior.

No, you're right. Everybody should stop congratulating Osgood for the saves he made. We should stop talking about the fact that we played a dominant game against the Blue Jackets because, after all, there's fifteen more games to win and we don't want to lose perspective by being happy at our play. The fact that we held the Blue Jackets to 8 shots through the 2nd and 3rd periods? Get over it, means nothing. The fact that we were practically a man down for the entire 1st and Osgood showed up HUGE after the kind of season he's had? Nah, he doesn't deserve a thread for that, either. .../End sarcasm.

It's really no different than everybody jumping on him after his first loss. Yes, it's been one game. Does that mean he doesn't deserve any sort of recognition for his play last night?

You guys are absolutely freaking ridiculous. Nobody is challenging the integrity of anything. All we're doing is giving us, the girls, something to do as well.. because we want to participate. Don't like it? Too bad. Want to hate it? Go ahead. I'm sick and tired of coming in this thread and reading asinine replies about how the women are all doing something evil because HOW DARE WE pretend we could ever do anything as great as a playoff beard. ******* hell. Grow up and get over it. The beard is pure superstition, as is the bracelet. The only difference is that bracelets don't have a tradition in hockey.

It's equally wrong to say a team sucks after one bad game. I think there's a lot of miscommunication going on. If you think the particular game sucked, say so. If you think the Wings play in that game sucked - by all means, make that clear. But when someone comes in and says "This team sucks this season", you're damn right some of us are going to raise our eyebrows and wonder what planet they dropped off of. I haven't been pleased with the play all of the regular season, but I knew the team and had enough faith in the team to not go around shouting how horrible they are. I knew they'd shape up in time because it's the Red Wings. That's all I needed to know. I could criticize their play, but I never lost my faith in them. How is a board full of people supposed to take it when people around saying "We suck, we won't make it passed the first round," etc. There's a fine line between being realistic and calling the play for what it is and sounding like a disgruntled (I hate to use this word) bandwagon fan.. and some of the posters, when they're angry after a loss, flirt with that line pretty heavily.

The issue is that this thread wasn't made to discuss Osgood's regular season play - at all. It was made to congratulate him on his performance LAST NIGHT. Some people have decided that saying he played well last night means he's been stellar all season. It doesn't. But this isn't the thread for regular season sucky discussions.

I really don't think any of us should be reading into each others' posts as much as we are. I mean, Osgood played a GREAT game last night. There's nothing wrong with giving him a little praise for it. However, there's no need to start throwing around the "bandwagon" word, nor is there any need to come in the thread and tell people to chill out because it was just one game. When I was younger & I'd win a hockey game, my parents would congratulate me. They certainly didn't tell each other they were jumping on a bandwagon and/or not to congratulate me because it was "only one game". Different circumstances, yes.. but I think it makes my point. One game or not... Osgood should be congratulated for his play last night. That's all there is to it.

If people can post "TRADE/KILL/STEAMROLL/DECAPITATE OSGOOD" threads after one loss, then they most certainly can make "Dear Osgood" threads after one win. It's not the amount of saves me made, it's the quality of saves me made. He may not have faced a lot of shots, but the ones he did face, Osgood showed up REAL big for this team when he needed to. And isn't that what it's all about? Isn't it only fair to appreciate that?

Time for me to go mix the red hair-color that I bought on my way home. Red string + red streak on the way.
