Fair enough. I'm happy enough just seeing him play his heart out every time he's out there.
-
Agreed.
-
Leino, Sammy, and Lilja.

Osgood, Kronwall, Draper, Flip, Kopecky. And for everyone saying Cleary - I simply don't agree. I don't care if he brings grit or not, he's one of the hardest working Red Wings out there. When he's on the ice, he may not always produce - but he certainly gives it everything he's got. I absolutely love Cleary - a hard-working hockey player.

Exactly.
-
Wow. That's unexpected. I want to know what he did too.
-
Haha, thanks.

Yeah, it's so common that we're second in the Western Conference and third among the NHL. And don't give me the "there's a big difference between playing every other night during the regular season and playing in the playoffs." The only time our team has had THIS big of a problem is when we play back to back games. Give it a rest. Some of you guys are so ridiculously spoiled that you simply refuse to take a loss for what it is and wait it out to see what happens. Instead, it's time to ***** about anything you see wrong - no matter if it's NOT as common as you seem to think it is. Have we been a little off? Yes. But we're RARELY as bad as we were last night. Some of you guys are just being ridiculous.

Honestly, I'm not too concerned. And anybody who thinks this team is doomed because they had a horrible night should be tarred and feathered. If the Wings had played every single game like this - then I'd say yeah, sell your season tickets and preach that we're a horrible team with shoddy goaltending. But they haven't. In fact, this is the first shut out anybody has gotten against on them all season. Other fans would be thankful if they had a team like the Red Wings out on the ice every night. But not us. Oh no. We just have to find little things to ***** about. Be thankful for the fact that we can be so horrendously embarrassed by this type of play when other teams exhibit this on a bi-nightly basis. EDIT: This is not to say that nobody should be disappointed. We obviously should. We KNOW the Wings are better than this - so it's always frustrating to see this type of play. However, I don't think we should start jumping ship and talking about trading and buying a new hockey team for the playoffs.

..... Bahahahahahahahahahaha. Man, you crack me up.

Like the saying goes "every dog has his day." And, well... today was Nashville's dog's day.

I see it a little bit.. but not a whole lot. As for House - AMAZING show.

Who is the most improved Red Wing from last season?
Ms_Hockey replied to Yzerman191's topic in General
I couldn't stand watching Lilja last year. I wanted him traded.. badly. Not only did he have poor defensive play, but he took penalties at what it seemed was the most inconvenient time to take one. This season? He's improved his game 110%. I haven't wanted him traded once! -
Excuse my French, but revenge is a mother f*****.

Hahaha, thanks.

What can I say? I'm not born with it. It's Maybelline.

I'll take *** hockey & *** uniforms if it gets them the Stanley Cup four times out of the last eleven years.

This one may be a little tough for us, given our recent record with back-to-back games. But I think we can pull it off if we come out with some momentum.
-
Amazing. Just the pure kind-heartedness of some people amazes me.
-
Yes.. Bettman - the self-proclaimed Red Wings fan. He's so in love with this team that he thought the Holmstrom ass-interference call to disallow goals should be put in official rulebooks. /End sarcasm. Seriously, though - Joe Thornton turned his back after Cleary was already coming at him. That's hardly "vicious". That's just a bad turn of events mid-check.
-
Hopefully we can get some momentum and really put it on the Kings. We've looked pretty off so far. But we can pick it up. Go Wings!

Which team do you NOT want to face in the first round?

I'm more afraid of facing Calgary than any of those options. -
Friday: Montreal @ Philadelphia Los Angeles @ Detroit Pittsburgh @ Chicago Minnesota @ Calgary Tampa Bay @ Vancouver Saturday: Washington @ Boston Florida @ New Jersey Anaheim @ Dallas San Jose @ Montreal Toronto @ Ottawa Buffalo @ NY Islanders Colorado @ NY Rangers Carolina @ Atlanta Detroit @ Nashville St Louis @ Phoenix Minnesota @ Edmonton Sunday: Philadelphia @ New Jersey Florida @ Washington Los Angeles @ Chicago Pittsburgh @ Dallas Tampa Bay @ Calgary Columbus @ Vancouver

The entire Boston Bruins roster & organization. I saw one game where Stevie Y got punched in the face by a Bruins fan on his way back to the dressing room - and that's pretty much when anything related to the Bruins became my mortal enemy.

I'd much prefer to see celebrations after goals than skating back to the bench as if nothing actually happened. Ovechkin is a one-of-a-kind player. He's a potent goal scorer, puck handler, and his physical skills are just about on par with everything else. If he wants to celebrate his goals, let him. I certainly would if I had that kind of talent. He loves the game, he loves when he succeeds in the game, and he likes to let it show. I see no problem with that.
