This isn't Datsyuk, but there was a funny line Maltby threw out about Z once. Z was asked if he's ever been in a fight. Maltby, overhearing the question, responds "Just with his sister." You guys may find this interesting. Another poster put this link in the Franzen thread in the Rumors forum. Looks like a long term deal for Franzen isn't that far off base.

Cleary does a good enough job in front of the net - and I think if Franzen were to be let go and he was put in the position to work it more, he could be equally as good as Mule. Cleary works hard for everything he gets out on the ice. This wouldn't be any different, imo.

Sure do. My parents are my best friends. I always make sure to spend as much time with them as possible - even if that means just sitting down for a family meal at night. TPBM has helped a lost child at a store.

Political forum? On another note, I feel really bad for Manny. I was never a huge fan, but he is like the complete opposite of Osgood. Osgood takes a loss and he gets over it. (Maybe a little too quickly, seeing his play as of late). Manny, on the other hand, beats himself up over it. I really honestly feel bad for him.

I saw on Red Wings weekly tonight when they were talking about how you don't step on the winged wheel in the middle of the locker room carpet. The reporter made a joke, something to the effect of "So what happens if someone other than a player steps on the winged wheel?" Then the camera tilted down to show his shoes on the edge of the wheel. They then showed Datsyuk who said "Wanna go outside?" I just about died.

He's hoping Hossa follows Z's lead.

I actually just watched Wanted for the second time. I'm going bowling soon, though. TPBM has Marilyn Manson on their iPod.

I've only been to one playoff game.. but I certainly don't recall our fans being "disruptive". If that means cheering - then okay, we're disruptive. I don't know! I'm smelling a lot of angry Pens' votes.

You're right, statistically there are d-men who are better off than Lidstrom is right now. Lidstrom just holds a reverence amongst fans and players alike. Ozzie DID make some huge saves.. like the two break-away shots he saved. But he also let in some incredibly weak goals. He's improving, but he needs to improve a lot more.

Actually, there have been surveys done amongst players (I believe) saying that Lidstrom is the best d-man in the game. He may be having a rough start, but he's so well revered by the hockey world in general that he could make a total blunder and still be considered the best.

Haha, Lidstrom is also in the running for "Who would you like to switch lives with for a day?" and "Who would make the best President/Prime minister". Chelios was #2 for that one, though. We have the most disruptive fans?

Honestly, I'm glad this is all happening now instead of in April. Speedy recovery, Homer! EDIT: After reading some other posts, I am NOT saying Homer won't get injured again. I'm just happy that right now is NOT April. 'Tis all.

I hope it's true.. but I'd be a little surprised if it is seeing how difficult it was to sign Franzen before. But who knows. It could be legit!
