I've noticed that too. And not only that, but the inherently physical players on the other team don't hit Lidstrom unless they have to. It seems like he gets a free pass on a lot of the physical play - maybe out of pure respect. Yzerman used to get the same thing.

Oh, no. I wasn't trying to say that he has messed up. I was saying that even if he DID, I still think he'd be revered in the NHL has one of the best defenseman to ever play the game. I fully expect Lids to turn around and be the hot shot we've known him to be over the last however-many years.

I don't think anybody on the Pavs/Zett/Hossa line could sufficiently fill in the Homer spot. Hossa would be the likely candidate given his size, but I think you'll agree that Hossa is more of a snap and release player than he is stand-in-front-and-whack player. He's better further back from the net or off to the side. Obviously, I'm not saying he WOULDN'T be good to throw in that position - I just think Franzen or Cleary could do it better.. and Hossa would be the one taking the wrist shots to score the goals.

In my opinion, Lidstrom will always be hailed as one of the best defenseman to ever play the game - even if he messed up at the end of his career and makes a huge blunder. He's practically flawless when it comes down to his individual play. These numbers don't surprise me in the slightest. If anything, they're well deserved.

Honestly, I'm just excited to see Helm thrown in the mix. I liked Leino - he really impressed me.. but I'm more excited to see Helm.

Not through a dating site or anything. I met a guy through a forum that I posted on. He came out here and stayed with my family a couple times, and I went and stayed with him. We're still seeing each other, though the 30 hour distance makes it difficult.. but it's been a couple years now so I'm used to it. TPBM has lied to a professor to get out of doing an assignment and/or showing up to class.

I got four hours of sleep last night, spent another four hours taking exams this morning, and I have class in an hour. Other than that, I'm freezing and I miss my dog.
