Thank God.

Oh no...
-
Well... the energy was fun while it lasted.
-
Anybody who thinks the waived goal was a legit call doesn't know a thing about hockey.
-
"Dan O'Halloran has a reputation as a referee who isn't afraid to discuss his calls with coaches." Really? Babs would disagree.
-
I didn't. But now I do.
-
You know, in any other situation, that'd be a conflict of interest. But not when you're Danny O. ...And Babs is way too nice.
-
Honestly, every single time that I hear O'Halloran(sp?) is reffing, I know it's going to be pretty messed up. Isn't there any way the league can intervene if a ref is CLEARLY slanted against a team?
-
That's what my dad says. Bettman is pissed and Danny O is getting orders straight from the top to screw us.
-
Is this a mother ******* JOKE? Homer is getting pushed into the goalie.. and not only that, but Turco is pushing up against Homer so he's being sandwiched, but somehow that's incidental contact and we don't get the goal? Yeah, I wouldn't want to face Babs either. ******* joke of a ref. EDIT: Excuse my language and anger. =/

If I were going to charge somebody, it certainly wouldn't be Maltby.

This is, by far, the best physical play I've seen from the Wings this season.

LILJAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
You've just brightened my night. See you guys at the second intermission!
-
Ahhhh, that spectacular 5-on-3 action against the Pens just makes me giddy.
-
No, of course he's not the reason.. but not having him in the PK is obvious. Naturally, we should be able to play our game without him. But there's certain players that when they're absent - you notice. In this particular area (PK), you can notice Hank's absense.
-
I think we're jumping the gun a bit, don't you?
-
Hank isn't there for the PK. And it's showing.

Put. Conks. In.

My response: People hate the Wings because they're winners. That's the plain and simple fact. Whoever the top team is - people love to hate. It has nothing to do with the actions of the team (for most), nor does it have anything to do with personal vendetta. It's just how professional sports goes. When the Wings dynasty dies out - and it will because ALL dynasties do - someone else will take over. And when that team does, people will love to hate that team as well. As soon as the Wings glory dies out, you won't hear half as many people bashing the Wings the way they do now. It's part of the fun of sports. Take the number one team and rip them down. Because, face it - if you can beat the number one team - it's more of an honor than beating a number 12 team.

Funny story. I was at the game last time and I was sitting in the lower level, 8 rows up, right by the net. My dad and I kept yelling things at Turco the entire time. At first, I was certain he couldn't even hear us - until someone else yelled something about Avery and he shook his head. After that period, he didn't return. Highlight of my night.

:Steam starts coming out of ears: I really hope Downey kicks the livin' s*** out of that moronic excuse of a human being.
-
It is rhetoric like this that is ruining the game and league!

If Bettman starts making ridiculous decisions such as this one to draw in more people, I have a feeling he would LOSE lot more than he'd draw in. -
What it's sounding like based on what people on LGW are saying (haven't found much to back it up but I'll take the word for now) is that Franzen is way more about the money than Hossa is. We could very well end up letting Franzen go and keeping Hossa. I just don't think Hossa would be willing to take THAT much of a pay cut to do it. Either way we go though, we have a winning team.

Personally, I want Downey to not only kick the crap out of Ott - but go after Ribiero(sp?) while he's at it. Something about that little weasel just gets to me. Maybe it's because he always tries to kill somebody on our team whenever he's out there.
