When ever Detroit plays on National TV it seems like they do worse, except for the playoffs. I don't know. Babcock- Play Conklin
-
I wish I could see those three on the PP. Why can't Hossa stand in front of the net? He's great at deflections.
-
I don't. Crosby sucks and he smells.
-
Teams still do look up at the Red Wings. Just because we're 3rd overall in the standings doesn't mean we aren't good anymore. Remember when there was like 14 seconds left in the Chicago game and Franzen scored to tie it up? We're lacking motivation. Goal tending can be fixed. Just watch the Oilers game again, 5-0 after the first period. That's when we're actually playing.
-
Please play Conklin. Franzen please suck up the injury. Destroy the Penguins. Final score? 6-2 in favor of the Red Wings
-
If Franzen's injury isn't too bad I'd have him sit out in the 2nd and come back during the 3rd to be on the safe side.

Wings Would Like To Re-sign Kopecky
Winged_Wheeler replied to Heroes of Hockeytown's topic in General
Yeah, I also liked the Franzen, Filppula, Hossa line the other night. Whenever Flip plays with Cleary, Cleary never passes and makes Flip look like he sucks. -
Don't worry. Let Hossa see the market. Where is he going to go? Boston? No. San Jose? No. The problem is most teams aren't capable of being constant every season. He'll re-sign with Detroit.

I say Yes.

Should the Red Wings Fire Assistant Coach Brad McCrimmon?

I wish some people like you would actually grow up and participate in the discussion at hand rather then spam the thread with useless garbage. -
Holland will sign Hossa long term. Remember what Holland said at the Zetteberg press conference, "We'll only be able to sign one more guy until July 1st". That doesn't take Franzen out of the picture at all.

Exactly. It seems like if you once played for the Red Wings you're almost guaranteed a job. -
Professional hockey players don't need rest.

McCrimmon is in charge of the Red Wings' defense. -
We all know Todd McClellan was a big lose. He worked with special teams play...PK and PP.
-
Here's how to fix the team... Fire Brad McCrimmon- The Dick Smack Mike Babcock in the head with a two by four and ask him why the hell he screwed up the lines this year Yell at the defense men for throwing the puck up the boards instead of skating it out Throw Osgood in the minors Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom
-
Article doesn't scare me one bit. Marian Hossa will be on the Red Wings long term.
-
Fire Brad McCrimmon.
-
I'll buy a Hossa jersey when he signs a long term contract in April.
-
Thanks Osgood for sucking it up, even though some were PP's. Conklin was solid, but he got his leg out too early. Filppula shoot it when you're in the slot, Franzen please start trying, refs...Whatever...
-
You're an idiot. Filppula plays just like Zetterberg and Datsyuk did when they were rookies.
-
Since Osgood is in goal tonight... Final Wings: 5 Stars: 4
-
Trading Filppula will come back and haunt the Wings. There's a reason why he was re-signed for a decent amount of years. Remember when everyone said Zetterberg will NEVER be a star player? Give Filppula a chance he's still developing as a player. Sign Hossa long term and let Franzen see what people are going to offer him, but if he's smart he'll remember why he scored all those goals. He was playing with the right players. The players that play the European style of hockey is the reason why he's doing so good. Remember what Ken Holland said, "I'll probably only be able to sign 1 more guy BEFORE July".
-
Even if he didn't no one would take his sorry ass.
-
I'm still going to say, Hossa will be on the Wings next year.
