Me too. I never realized how much of an impact he made out there. Just before he got injured, he was making big improvements on his defensive game.

This article is great, and I love the fact he called out Babcock. Everyone needs to get their heads out of their asses and start caring. Nobody gives a s*** if you made the Stanley Cup final two years in a row, us Red Wing fans expect our team to win EVERY game and if we don't, we become so pissed, it's not even imaginable. Well it kind of is, you get a taste of it on this message boards. This is not the Red Wings, this record we have is not what we're capable of, we can do much more if EVERYONE in that locker room and EVERYONE above them, including Illitch, CARE about what this team has become. Something needs to be done. Don't be surprised if Babcock and the rest of the coaching staff gets fired if this s*** doesn't stop. Z and Pav are in their primes right now. Unforunately, injuries are still plaguing the Red Wings. Plus, we've had deep playoff runs for the last few seasons, players get tired from that.

McCrimmon is partly to blame. He's not providing our guys with the caliber type Red Wings defensive play we're used to playing. McCrimmon doesn't fit in the Red Wings system.

Bertuzzi is lazy and he sucks. Holmstrom's time is almost up. Lidstrom is slowing down and ultimately costing us $7.45 million. Williams still plays the Bluejackets system and still dumps it in regardless (why do you think we got rid of his ass the first time?) Lebda and Meech both need to shape up fast or they'll be gone. Brad McCrimmon (our defense coach) is a liability for our struggles (Coaches don't play the game, but tell the players what to do, positioning, ect. No excuses, fire him. He doesn't know how to coordinate a Red Wings caliber hockey team, which explains why he was replaced in other organizations. Not to mention our PK troubles...when did this start? Last year when Todd McClellan left and McCrimmon came in).

I've been telling everyone here that we should have fired McCrimmon last season but no one listened.

I strongly agree with every word. Our second line with Zetterberg, Cleary, and Bertuzzi is terrible...I don't know why Babcock broke what was already there, the Euro Twins tearing it up together, now chemistry is being lost between them. Just because Hossa was here last year didn't mean we had to split Zetterberg and Datsyuk, should have just put him a line with Filppula and Franzen, and what happened when they were together? They were unstoppable. Now this year Babs places Z on a line with Cleary and Bertuzzi? Sorry but Cleary is not a superstar. Cleary had a good playoff last year and I hope he proves me wrong this season with his abilities.
