Zetterberg is injured, his back has been giving him problems, dating back before that 7-3 win in Dallas, he was questionable. If Datsyuk wasn't hurt I'm sure Zetterberg would be out to rest his back, he's letting Franzen take more draws because of this and just looks in pain out there.

I know no one cares except for me, but did anyone else notice Zetterberg's using a Warrior stick rather than the S19?

I don't expect Z to play in playoff mode every game.

Dallas scored 52 seconds in on their first shot, powerplay goal, not Ozzie's fault, screened like no tomorrow. I blame our defensemen for not flushing out the guys in front of the net. Wings looked flat, plain and simple.

Oh well, Wings still got 79 games to play.

Couldn't have said it better. Filppula looks REALLY good right now and even more slick than he did last year. I know it's only two games in the season, but it seems like Fil's carrying the momentum he had from the playoffs last year.

Filppula is a really solid 2nd line center, it seems like every year he's getting better and better. Fil's so slick on his skates and I noticed he started shooting more. Once Fil gets the timing down, when to shoot and when not to, he's going to be very, very good. Keep him with Franzen and Fil could easily get at least 55-60 points.

Let's see how they respond to Chicago's banner raising.

Watched the first two periods and the Wings were just flat out bad defensively. No biggie, this is what preseason's for, fixing all those kinks and hoping they don't carry over to regular season.

When Zetterberg's healthy, he can score 40 goals, plain and simple.

You like the Blackhawks chances against a team that had an extended summer and didn't spend it partying? Wake up, Chicago doesn't compare to Detroit this upcoming season. Do you really think Toews and Kane are comparable to Zetterberg and Datsyuk? Do you really think Hossa is comparable to Franzen? Chicago has a good defensive core, but so do the Wings. Any team would kill for Lidstrom, Rafalski can still pull of a wicked wrister, Kronwall Kronwalls people, and Staurt punishes the guys Kronwall doesn't get. You also have Mr. Huet pumping out $5 mill out of your cap and got rid of some players to avoid being over the cap and guess what? Your team is still over the cap. With Niemi being awarded $2.75 mill, I have a hard time believing he's staying in Chicago. If Niemi leaves, your team is in a desperate need for a goalie, and Turco seems like the only logical option, which would be good because the Wings always light him up.

Kovalchuk is lazy and he sucks.
