Good grief. People bitching about Canadian TV talking about Canadian teams. Vancouver does have a great core. So does Chicago. If Vancouver pays as much attention to the rest of the team like Chicago did....well we know how their year has gone.

The world needs more Bill Davidsons. Detroit can't or won't do what's needed for the Pistons so he just says "f*** it, I'll build my own arena in Auburn Hills." No taxpayers money, no bonds, just his cash. Opened in 88' and is still a great place to watch an event.

I've often wondered what I did to have the great fortune to watch some of the greatest suit up for Detroit teams, nothing probably but what a ride. Thanks to Nick for taking me along on the hockey part.

They were going to switch at the 10min mark but BOTH coaches vetoed the idea. I have no idea why, the announcer said both coaches wanted to keep playing to the same end the whole period. That makes me think the wind was less a factor than anyone thought I wish they would have let the Wings and Habs use the ice Friday night, what a waste to go through so much trouble for the setup then only play one game on it. Congrats to Michigan on the win. Go Blue.

I'd say it's up to Hall of Fame voters. I'm not a hater but IMO no HHoF no 30 in the rafters.

Condolences to the Burns family. Hockey lost a great one. I can only hope the HHoF feels shame for not giving Pat Burns his due before he hit the dirt. Shame on them.

The earlier starting times would be great but I'm not sure that's a fair trade off for the extra Crosby threads.

No s***. I clicked the link expecting to see a bitchfest of Duck fans and it's a Flames board. I read a few "OMGZ Kronwall always leaves his feet" complaints. Then it started drifting into "Holmstrom nevers get called for having his ass in our goalie's face" complaints. Guess they are still butthurt from losing to us the game before.

Football is much more violent than hockey. The day a hockey player can fold his arms back, launch himself from his feet and lead with his helmet to the head area then it's like football. Hockey players are a tough breed but the beating they take doesn't compare to a football player. You have to remember the NFL went through a s*** storm last week so most players are trying to put a better spin on the hitting.
