WCQF Game 1 GDT: Red Wings 2 at Predators 3
stuck in socal replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Lets ******* Go. Show up for 60 minutes wings and prove to the world that you guys still have it in you. Do it for Lidstrom. Let's Go Red Wings! -
So apparently coming down from 2-0 against St Louis in enemy territory is not proof that this team has heart and can win tough games. This (Wings) team has it in them. We know what they can do when they really want it. I know there are no guarantees which team will show up, but to say this team is incapable of competing when the going gets tough is just wrong. For those of you who are not only doubting the wings but are questioning their character just remember this: "Those who stay will be champions."

On that final penalty that the Flyers took did anyone else see if Mule maybe got injured. The way he went down was awkward. I know he finished the game but I hope he is fine.

December 14th I believe.

Powerplay. Good work by Dats to draw the penalty.

Kings are not trading their captain away.
-
Trade for Rick Nash. Hudler and Flip for him. He needs a change of scenery anyways.
-
I like this.
-
We are too predictable on offense. Point shots, point shots, more point shots....
-
If you aren't worried right now, you are not a real fan. This team has major issues.
-
That blowout loss against Washington was a lot worse than we think...
-
Can't blame injuries on this debacle... What was the longest losing streak last year?
-
Conklin played a great game.

Reading about Kindl and his relationship with Ruslan was tough. In a way, Salei was that father figure for Kindl this past season. I think Salei was a great hockey player, but from what I've heard he was an even better family man. I just feel so sad knowing he just had a child who will never get to meet him.

Draper, thank you so much for servicing the Red Wings so well for many years. It is sad to see him go, but everyone needs to remember one thing: Never let people write you off, put you down, and say you can't do it(whatever the situation). I think Kris Draper is a great testimony to this. He got traded for one dollar for crying out loud. However, he didn't let that put him down, and he was able to have a fulfilling NHL career and was a great player and person.

Wings sign D Ian White to 2-year, $5.75m contract
stuck in socal replied to germanwing's topic in General
This is a good signing given the situation that the Free Agency went this year. We did not overpay for White, and he is pretty young at twenty seven years old. Holland, you redeemed yourself in my book. Commodore looks motivated to play and is an ample replacement for Salei, and White is an ample replacement for an aging and wore down by injuries Brian Rafalski. White - Lids Kronwall - Stuart That is a solid top 4. Adding Yandle to that mix and I would cry of happiness.
