Rofl! What has Ryan Miller done yet? Miller is still early on in his career and so far zero playoff success. You can not judge a goalie until they go prove themselves in the playoffs.

What I do not get about Leino is he is working out with an Olympic speed skater to improve his skating. Has his skating improved or is he JUST that bad.

I saw on Versus the shutout leaders. And I knew them all except the guy who was third. I don't remember his name and I don't think I even knew who he was. Fuhr was in fourth and I was surprised to not see Roy on there.

Well new NHL equipment is better so he could be sayign Marty had an advantage and Terry would have more shutouts in the time/era

Brunnstrom and Leino have both been disappointments! And Fabien had a hat trick in his first career NHL game. Leino scored on his like second shift. It was a great goal. Does anyone remember?

I just do not like Brodeur. Something about him. Congrats to him, but I don't like New Jersey or him.

Only the top 5 picks are normally immediate players who can come and make an impact. So, even we go around this season the way we are, we are not tanking hard enough for that high impact player. WE need pure goal goal scorers and a nice offensive defense men for the the future. Goaltending seems to be ready. We have Howard and Larsson and McCollum.

Give this Leino thread a few more days before we start seeing the effects. Next game Leino with 2 goals!

For those nagging on the OP shame on you. For some idiots here who get all pissed in the game day threads I don't think they understand that injuries are effecting the team. They seem to put all the blame on Ozzy, and yeah the OP has a point. It was pretty obvious we can not contend with the hawks now. They were farly superior due to the fact the wings are so injured.

In all fairness to "losing" confidence, no I am not losing confidence in anyone. I expected the Wings to be like this due to all the injuries. I gurantee if we had zero injuries we are sitting top 3 in the conference and Leino is probably more comfortable. Right now everyone is expecting too much of Leino. If we were healthy he would have "eased' into his role. He has a lot of talent and he just needs to grow into the role. The whole team is a little down because of injuries but that is expected .We get Filpulla back on the 26th and by end of January we will be healthy and the record will start to improve. Regardless of what seed we make the playoffs we are a threat just because of all the experience.

Brilliant? he already let a softy in when we were still in the game. Everything else is moot. It does not matter if Chicago wins 10-0. We are losing and we are not coming back.

I would like a win, but under the circumstances if we can keep this game close I'll take it. On a sidenote, I liked how Datsyuk, Bert and Homer played yesterday. Hopefully their play carries over because we will need them to be great if we have a chance at winning! .
