This is the best time of the year for the players and the fans. For the players this is what they have been working for since September. They had to battle through an 82 game season, and then the real fun begins. And for the fans, this is why we watch the game. The playoffs are a time when I can just watch the games and get really into the action. I tend to forget about everything else that happens in my life when I watch the Red Wings in the playoffs. In a way, it is an escape from reality for a small amount of time. I think most people understand what I am trying to say because most of us here have a special bond with the Red Wings. When I go on my fits when they lose a game in the playoffs, a lot of my friends and companions can not understand why I take this so seriously. But I think everyone here knows what I am talking about. We all come from different walks of life, but the Red Wings bring us all together, and that I think is the extraordinary aspect of fan hood.

The bottom line is the Wings need to put the stranglehold on the Coyotes tomorrow night.

I won't start worrying about the next round until we take care of the Coyotes. Phoenix will not roll over and die just because they are in a 2-0 hole. Their captain, as sleazy and slimy as he is, will make sure the team comes to play Monday night.

Phoenix will not go down without a fight. Normally I would say just take one game at the opposing arena, but since half of Jobbing.com arena will be cheering for the Wings, it would be best if the Wings can just win the next two games. The Wings need as much rest as possible between series, and I just don't see Phoenix hanging with the Wings 5 on 5.

This was a good win. The ending was a bit frantic, but the Wings were able to hold on and that is what matters in the playoffs. Let's Go Red Wings in Game 3.

Great way to start the playoffs. The Wings played a great game,after they started skating hard. This was the wings we were waiting for. And to imagine we get Z back soon, I am pleasantly happy with the way this series has started. Let's Go Wings in Game 2!

Am I the only one that is worried about this matchup? Phoenix is a really solid team and Jovanovski and Hanzal are both back and ready. They still have Bryzgalov and Yandle and Doan. Most of all, they want revenge for last year. Just by reading from what the Phoenix fans have been saying, beating Detroit would be like winning the Stanley Cup for this franchise. Especially after last year when we embarrassed them on their own home ice in game 7. Therefore, I see this series going 7 games, and I don't know if we will end up on top.

So for Wednesday, are we going to be able to watch the game, or are they going to switch to NYR/Washington?

Think back when Datsyuk was injured in the SCF. They kept saying he was making progress etc, but it took him until game 5 to come back. The Red Wings tend to be very vague with their injuries, and I could see Z being out the entire series. I think it depends on how the series goes, if the series is going to be short and sweet for the Wings, I think they will rest Z until the next round. However, if it goes the distance of 7 games, I think you will see Z make an appearance.

It sounds like he has a minor tear. If he does play this playoffs. he is playing injured. But still his presence is a good thing to have!

This is a win/win for us really. Black hawks will either miss the playoffs or the entire city of Vancouver will be collectively s***ting their pants tonight.
